Hello everyone, I'm Thessally, Olma, Brother Brim, Ceallach, Seeker, and I'm your DM Ethan. Welcome to Venture Forth. Previously after a long rest within the home of Olma's family, you all had begun your trek to the mountain in the woods, although you hadn't gotten very far as it was a short walk, you were passing through the center of town as you heard a voice shout out to you and you turned to see Warden Barrett Hastell. As he approached you, you heard clicks from the rooftops as dwarven guards train their crossbows on all of you and Artemisia, along with four mages of the order of The Red Wolf telported in to surround you as well. Fighting broke out. We are about halfway through the first round of combat, so as we begin, we have Brim that just finished his turn. Next up we have a couple of mages. Let me see. Olma and Seeker. Ceallach, you are preoccupied with Warden. Olma and Seeker. You turn and you see this mage directly behind you as he turns to the both of you and starts swirling his hands back and forth creating this swirling ball of fire within both of his hands. And as he bursts his hands forward, this fire comes rushing to you and Seeker goes directly towards you as this massive ball of fire redirects and goes directly over your shoulder, absorbed into the totem. And if you can keep track of this, yes, as now a third level fireball has been stored within. That is awesome. All right. It's going for the mage that was on the ground directly in front of Seeker. Next up is in tandem, the other mage that is not within the radius. He's on a rooftop right in front. He is going to, in a very similar fashion, sort of clap his hands together and rub them together and as he does, you can see these icicles forming on the outside of his hands as he pushes them forward forming a triangle in front of him. That is going to be. Er naur. A constitution saving throw. Corn of cord. As he cast cone of cold. A constitution saving throw for. The warden. Ceallach, Olma, Seeker and Thessally. Am I at advantage? I'm invisible. It is. I believe it's a constitution saving throw. So it is not Seeker's. In 10 feet of me? I can't tell. Seeker is not, he would be if you were on the ground, but you are in the. Air. I am. One story up. Sorry, you're. Only 10 feet up, right? One story is 10 feet. Yeah, but I'm. 10 Feet up and 10 feet out. The warden, Ceallach, Olma and Seeker all making constitution saving throws. Okay. I hate my whole life. What kind of save is this? Con. Come on! Okay, so let's see. Not good. Wait. No, not good. Very bad. I'm not in this right? No. Okay. Good. Say maybe he's low enough that his spell. Save DC isn't. He's a level one mage He's a level one. Yeah, he's got cone of cold and he's level one. The one just did a third level fireball. He does 1d4. I was. I might say I-- The other one. Just did a third level also. Ceallach. 11. Thessally. 14. Seeker. I rolled. A dirty 20. And Olma. 21. 21. Okay, so everyone except for Ceallach succeeds. Oh! Did it hit the warden? Yes it does. Yes. Which he also succeeded. No. Still half though I think. Yes, it is still half. That's. Still some damage on 'em, which is. Good. So that is going to be, oh, so many d8s. I love it. Stop smiling. We still take half, right? That's. Going to be. Let's hoping any y'all aren't hoping get healed anytime soon. 52 To Ceallach. 52 points of cold damage. Oh, to Ceallach as that is. Oh my god! Eight d8 and then that is half of that. So that is 26 points of cold damage to everyone else including the warden. I'm going to uncanny dodge that. Okay. And half. It to the Dodge. So that's okay. So for secret, you are taking 13. That is those two mages. Those two mages. Next up Olma, you are next up in initiative. I want to do a shove attack on Barrett Hastell to break the, potentially break the engagement between him and Ceallach. Okay. You're going to make a shove attack. So that is going to. Would that be a grapple? No, because his turn is before yours so it doesn't matter, does it? Well, I mean don't do it on my account. Don't worry about. Don't, don't anything on your, I don't want to influence what you're doing's so. Super cute if almost runs up there and trying push him away from you. It also scares the crap out of me. Very sad. Also, he beefy us but also, yeah, he beefy. He beefy. I mean it is, well. I don't know what else. I mean I don't know what else to do to get you guys out of the way. Don't. Just banish him again. I don't got to do thaw's, I know. If you wish for that. I believe I could be wrong, but I believe that was the wild magic went off and I believe the thing was like a random creature within 30 feet of you gets banished and it just happened to be him. Same. It. Was awesome you for that to happen. Again. It could be someone else who's leaving the. Battlefield. That's true. True. Kind of like being banished might be okay too. He can just see himself in the void. I just take a long rest, whoever you are. You know what? This is less stressful here. They're going to be fine. This is going to lay down a little. Bit. Healer. Okay, I'm going to bonus action. Key point, step of the wind. Okay, use 25. Is that 25 or 30 and 15? 20. I think that's about 20 actually to get to Artemisia. Okay, that is going to be. Invisible invisibly. 15. It's 15 if you want to get in front of her right there. I just want to be next to her. I want to pull out the string of negate magic from my bag crouch down and attempt to get through the orb that's around her and use a stealth to somehow stealth my way into tying that around her ankle. Yeah. Nice. Nice, nice. Okay, let see. So I believe the way that we did this last time when you were at the top was making a stealth check against the passive perception of the person you're trying to tie this thing. Around. That was for them not to notice. Yes. That. Was for them not to notice. I believe that's how we did it last time. So I'm going to pull up Artemisia's passive perception. If I can have you make a sleight of hand check, I'm. Going to use tides of chaos. You don't need to. You're invisible. I'm invisible so I already get it at there. You. Already have it at Advantage mind. You're using tides of chaos. Good save. Nice. Good call. Natural 20. Let's go with stealth. Let's with. Stealth is a 27. Fuck yeah. There's no way she notices that. We needed a win. The team needed a win. Good. Okay. Concentrating on something, you can't concentrate on it anymore. I don't know. We'll see. We'll get the rear, we'll see. We'll get there. We'll. Okay, is that the end of Olma's turn? No. So because I bonus actioned and that was my action, I still have another 40 something feet of, I still have 60 feet of movement. I have 40 normally. So I got 40 with my step of the wind plus the 20 extra I have plus 25 extra I have. So math doesn't matter. I have a lot of movement so I'm going to, where do I want to be on the math? I can be anywhere. What's all am I doing? Almost going to run over to where I saw Seeker put his little totem. Okay. And put the totem inside my invisibility cloak. Oh okay. With. Me. Can people see it hanging if I step over it? If I walk over it? Probably not. So I'm going to step on top of it. I'm going to hide it and then I'm going to walk it back towards the center of the arena. Okay. Put it where? Oh. Sure. Near the well in the center of town. Now I believe more people are going to be caught in this thing. So give me one second. Sorry Shane. It's okay. I just figured. No, it's okay. Let me see if that's, no, that's. Seeker nods. Nods in the direction it. Just disappeared. Go with it. Just disappeared. We'll. Be all right. Okay, so I nod. I nod. On top of over here. Okay? Yeah. Nodding. And Olma goes right there. I don't. Think it fucking. Matters. Okay. Alright. That gets one mage more plus. Artemisia. Plus Artemisia. Can't do magic right now anyway, but. Yeah. Double. I don't know. Sure. Cool. Fun idea. Okay, is that the end of your turn? Yeah, bonus action. Action. Lots of movements. No kidding. Yeah. Okay. It's fun to be like, oh, I can just go. Anywhere. So much movement must be great. I'm going to open my eyes and look around at anybody to see if anybody clocked that the purple moved, but. I would like to think that I. Seeker would definitely know. Yeah, he would be able to sense that. So. I just look at Seeker's face. Okay. I have a smirk. Okay. Cool. Nice. Next up. All right, so as that happens, a couple of these dwarven guards, two that are on the furthest roof, two of the guards that are on the roof right above where Olma had just moved the thing are going to reach into their pouches, grab a couple of crossbow bolts that are flaming on the ends, put 'em into their crossbows and they're going to shoot them directly into the center right at this where Ceallach and where they know Ceallach and Seeker are, those are the only, that's the only place that they can really do this. So everyone within a 10 foot radius of that point, so that's also going to be the warden. He's going to be. Pissed. Yeah, the warden's going to be pissed. The warden, Ceallach, Olma and Seeker. I'm going to have you guys make, give me one second. It is a really, the other side of my face? Do the arrows have to hit us or the. Fire? It's an area of effect. Okay. Yeah, so I'm going to have you all make a dexterity saving throw for me. Well. For crying out. Fucking loud dude. Not great. I can do. Evasion. What did Ceallach get? Eight. An eight, okay, so Ceallach is going to be taking 14 points of fire damage. Okay. Okay. You might get your turn then. What a novel idea. Evasion works if you succeed, you take no damage. If you fail, you take half. Perfect. Either way it's going to. Help you. So that is also going to be Olma. What did you get? Oh man. Dex saving throw. It passed. I think it was an 18 or a 19. I can't really remember what it was at this. I think it was a 18. You're sure it was an 18 or a 19? You're sure it was one of those two? I'm. Positive it was like a 16 or 15 when I hit it, so yes. Okay. Alright then you are going to be taking seven points of fire damage. Okay, Seeker. I rolled a 25 so I'm guessing I passed. You get seven points of fire damage. So I get none because of Evasion. So. Nice, nice. What does it look like when you duck out of the way of it? Tuck and roll buddy. No, sorry, go ahead. That's yours too, that's on you. I'm not. No, I like it man, but I feel like I'm still in the field of fire, right, so what I'm going to do is as I see it land and hit, I'm going to grab my forearm where my tattoo of Laurus is and mutter just a quick prayer of protect me and it'll just kind of wash as the flame, as the orange flame is coming in like a purple plasmic flame will commingle with it around me and keep it off of me. Nice. Okay. Also, next up in the initiative is also the dwarfing guard that is right in front of you. Brim, I believe he takes fire damage. Yep. Six. Points of fire. Damage. Six points of fire damage. Nice. Okay, he's not going to love that. Let's see. Six points of fire damage and with that he's going to, yeah, he's going to stay where he is. Drops his crossbow and pulls out his short sword. He's going to lunge at you for two attacks. That first one is going to be, man, you're a monk, so I don't know if this is going to hit you. That's going to be a 19 to hit. Just hits. Just hits. Okay. Eight points of slashing damage and then the next one that's going to swing at you, this probably isn't going to hit. That's going to be a 15 to hit. Nope. Okay. And the second one, he swings over his shoulder. He's definitely distracted by that fire that's licking away at him. Yeah, I mean I look like I'm cooling lava like how it's dark like that with fissures. That's just pouring out of onto him for sure. The red hair is like up. It's all fire now. All right, next up Ceallach. Okay. Okay, let's go buddy. I'm going to look up incredulously at Hastell. For gods' sake man. Get a life. I'm going to look around DM. There's a building on my left and a building behind me. Do any of them have windows or doors that seem to be open? None that are currently open. Okay. No, you do see windows on the door to your left and windows on door behind you. Okay. The windows on the door to my left. Are they latched in any sort of way? They appear to be like, I don't know. They look closed. Okay, well then here's my gamble. Do you. Want to make a perception check for see? Sure. Okay. Make a perception check. No, that is not okay. This is going to be a 15. 15. They're latched from the inside. Okay. No open doors. You have an alleyway right behind you between the two. You have a tree to your well behind you. You got to get away. What about the building that Thessally is on? Any entrances there that I can see. There is a door right beneath where Thessally is. Okay. Not open but there is a door. Okay, I'm going to use my action to disengage, okay? I'm going to run up past Olma and Seeker and I'm going to try to get into that building that Thessally is on top of. I'm going to shoulder check the door. I'm going. To have you make an athletics check, okay? This is going to be your action to get in. Actually it was your action to disengage. It was my action. So I'll say it's the rest of your movement in order to try and get at five feet into five feet into the door. Okay? Athletics check. Nice, sweet mother of God, excellent. Oh my God, that was the Hail Mary. 18. 18. As you push all of your weight into it, the hinges on the door actually break the first open and you almost stumble and fall. You are now about five feet into the building and. Yeah, I'm just going to tuck into the corner. You. Have a healer's kit or potion or. Anything? That's the rest of my movement. I'm just going to lean against that wall and yeah, that's my turn. I can't get far enough out of the, um. You have a potion? No, couldn't drink it anyway. I don't think. No, we use bonus action. I was a healing word but I can't get far enough so. Sorry. Oh I, that is the end of Ceallach's turn. That. Is my turn. But at least you're. At least I'm not in front. Of Hastell anymore. You're inside a building and you have lots of cover. Yeah. Okay, next up, let me see. Seeker, you look up and this mage in front of you again is going to try and cast a fireball. Yeah, because he's good fucking luck and stupid. Boom goes right into the, well actually now it goes past you again. These keep going past you and to the tribute totem that Olma is holding right behind me. That is another fireball. How many spells is that? Two. That two in there currently. Two. Okay. What are we counting toward? And then Brim right in front of you, that mage right in front of me is. Stunned. That mage is stunned. Okay. So it does not get any out of him. Out of him. Okay. And is that to the end of his turn? To my turn. End of your turn. Correct. Okay, so he would be stunned no matter what. That's. A fucking day my man. He can't move. That is his first turn though. But going to say he still takes damage six points. Oh yeah. Points of damage. Right? Because he turns. Very good. Remember it should be a lot better than me. Love it. Okay. I remember. Any damage that enemy should take. That is. True. Alright, now we are once again at the top of initiative Seeker. Alright, what a meat grinder. So that just went right next to me, so I know I saw a move, you. Would I be able to get a sense of what's. Happening. I'm going to bend down. Olma, can I have it and try. I will respond and say huh, but I can't do anything. Of course you can reach into my cloak and crowd if you want and then you just let go of it, right? Yeah, I would say just before you commit to something as Olma is invisible, it would take you a moment to reach in. I would constitute that as your action to try and find the tribute totum within an invisible cloak. And it does reveal everyone will see me then also. Yeah, in the center of all the enemies that all are probably here for you. They would still be at disadvantage. I could, they don't know when my turn is and they don't know, but it would give away certain elements. Yeah, yeah. I'll leave it here. I'll leave it here when I move. Okay. Like whispering, trying to be, so I will shake my head and I'll reach into my shirt pocket, pull out a card with a blue dragon on it. And I will. Flip it towards Barrett Hastell and look him in the eye and say, well hold on, let me tell you what I'm going to say. A. Dragon barrage. A big one. No, not the big one. Don't do the. Big one. Nah. No. The big one would be crazy. Next time we're in an apocalyptic situation we can grab the big one. Yeah. So I'm looking him in the eyes and kind of smirk and say. Lapse. Ah, which one's that? Oh okay. Okay. Alright, so from the card, the ground does not shake. What sort of folding and peeling out of the card, the paint and the ink runs into a blue dragon wyrmling. What is the size of that? It's medium. Medium. Okay. It's still medium though. If possible. I would love for it to be hovering right in his space, five feet off the ground. Sure. Right above him. Yeah. On the map. I'm going to put it right next to him just so I don't forget that he's there. I mean, no, just off the ground it's right. It's in between him and where I think Olma is. Okay. And then. Thanks buddy. Blueberry, right? What did we call him? Oh yeah, that's what you called. That's what I call him. Determined. Thanks. Bang. That's what Olma's going to call it. Yeah, yeah. And then I am going to, that's it. That's all I'm going to do. Okay. That is all you are going to do. And then it's its turn is its turn right after yours. It is its turn. Turn right after. Let's go from the roof. Brimm is like what? The dragon, dragon, dragon. I guess my bonus with action would be like, yeah, it does. That dragon. We lied. Yeah, love to see it. Going to fire, lightning breath, which I believe could hit him and the dwarf on the roof. So it is. 30 Foot line, 30. Foot line, five feet wide. Come on. Five feet wide. Come on. No, because the roof is. But he's five feet up from the ground. So feet up from five is 10. The angle would be yes. But he would be able to bounce it down and then back up to get the. That's. Fair. So because the wyrmling is up in the air, it would have to face its lightning down towards the warden so it would not be able to then get it back up. Fair enough. Is he able to just move it down to the ground so you can cast it up? Well, I mean he's really off the ground. He's floating, he's movement covering just Yeah, that's what I said. He was so got to make a DC 12 deck. Safe. G=going to be a 13. That's going to save, so you'll take half the damage. I'm so excited. Hail mary. Well I got him. He gave me two, so we're good. Nice. Yeah. Oh yeah, yeah. Oh yeah. Think oh yeah. I think 16. 16. Okay, so eight. You get half, you take half. Oh eight. Okay. I. Mean, oh well then there's my damage. There. Is your. Damages. Three d. 8, 3, 6, 9, 12. Yeah. Okay. Three d8 from all of them? Yeah. Okay. I don't take exhaustion from all of them, but I take, you take. Damage from. All of the boxes. Yeah. So the wyrmling you do not take exhaustion. Exhaustion. That's what we're thinking about. Three. D8, boy, that's going to be seven points of psychic damage. Okay. Every time it's dings. Okay. Is that the end of yours and the dragon's turn? Yes. All right, next up we got a couple of guards. These three. I know the one on the far. Roof, so yes, the one on the far roof and then the two just above the warden. You know what, they're going to follow suit of what happened previously and they see a blue dragon, so they're going to shoot a couple of their explosive arrows into that crowd as well. Aiming for Seeker and the dragon. Olma, you are within that as well. So I'm going to need a, they're also. Going to hit Hastell again and. They do not care about that warning? No, because they're aiming for the well and it is a, oh. She's within 10 feet. Well. They would aim them over so that they wouldn't make, have plenty of area, stop hitting the boss. But it won't hit the dragon. He doesn't. I don't want to want to run. He doesn't know it's. The dragon's still within 10 feet. Not if they hit it far enough to. They hit it right under. Unless they're aiming directly for Seeker with the explosion, it's not going to hit. Yeah. So they would aim directly for Seeker, which then the dragon would be of that. To the radius. How many going to need the dragon Seeker and Olma to make dexterity saving throws for. Me? Would that one mage on the ground be in range of that? So let me see. So that would be. Oh, it's below him, not on him. Yeah, I. Got it, I thought you. Said it was on, does not hit the dragon. Yeah, they'd have to right there to get the dragon. Yeah. So yeah, so those three are going to be making dexterity, saving throws for me. Okay. Seeker's 24. And I get if I pass then I have evasion. So I did zero. Okay. Yeah. So that would succeed. Nice. Shadow cast. I had a hard time seeing. It. A dragon gets a 18. Okay, that succeeds as well. Olma. We're doing two, right? Or just one? Oh yes. So it's two. It is two because it's two. Oh. Okay. Actually, I'm sorry, it's three. All three of the guards are. We got to keep. Okay, so the first, I'm sorry, let's go one by one. So Seeker, you succeeded on that first one? Yes. And the dragon succeeded on the first one. Okay, so let's go to the second one now. But the dragon will still take damage. Still take damage Dragon. The dragon. Dragon doesn't have evasion. Okay, so that is going to be. Can you do evasion every time or is it once. It's a react? Oh, I can. It's a passive ability. It's all, it's always on. That's cool. Man. Okay, so that is going to be nine points for the dragon and or I'm sorry, the dragon succeeded, so that's going to be, oh my god, what is that? Four points, five, four points of fire damage for the dragon. What did you get? 7, 10, 20. For the first one is seven. Seven, okay, so you take the full nine points of fire damage. Okay, the second arrow. Second. Arrow, Seeker. What'd you get? Seeker got a 22. 22. So you succeed, so you don't take any damage. That does magic. Oh, but draggy got a natural one. 10 Points. Fire damage. How. Much? 10 points of fire damage. 10. And Olma, what was that second one for you? 10. 10. So that's going to be 10 points of fire damage and the third arrow coming in Seeker. That's a 14. 14 Succeeds. Okay. No damage. The dragon that purple. That purple plasma just. Do work. Laurus is like, geez. Dude, just on please. What are you still doing? I'm exhausted, move already! I got to take that two from him. Dragon got 15. 15. So that succeeds. Yes. So the dragon is going to take five points. Five points of fire damage. Okay. Dirty. 20 A dirty 20. Okay, so you also take five points of fire damage. Geez, okay. Those are the three guards there. I. Don't like them. I do not. Next up Thessally. Okay, So wings are already out. I believe when that happens I can just go ahead and activate the helm. Is that correct? Since I took that action at the beginning of the round. Is that right? I believe the helm on it. It does it say. It says, well the wings and the helm kind of go together. So I didn't clarify. Is that okay? That's correct. So. It pops out at the same time? Yes. I just wanted make sure we. Made that little wombo combo. What does that do again? So I would now like to use the helm's feature because I am going to fly over and land. I'm going to try to go in and do one two into the back of Barrett Hastell and I'm going to slam both my swords as I'm going to land. As I fly over, I'm going to use my movement and I'm going to mess 'em up if I can because I'm paladin. Paladin v. paladin. And my eyes are burning. They're burning through the helm. Very cool. So I will ask, are you choosing to take that feature that the helm gives you? Because I believe that's one of the prerequisites is that you were going to use it before. I hit. Before. You hit. Yeah, I would like to. Okay. I just wanted to make sure that. No, no, that's not why I'm frustrated. I'm frustrated. The odds of you rolling that are pretty impressive though. Did she drop them? No. I rolled them this time. I rolled. Them. No, they're just the same number and. Oh I. Got you. Anytime you roll two dice, the same number is pretty impressive. There's a 15. Hit him. He ain't got no armor. 15. He's naked. Did I not describe that he was naked? No, no, no, that does not. Yeah, I didn't think so. So that's both my attacks I missed. Okay, next up is, I forgot about her. I have an answer. Sorry. Put the bracelet wire on the foot. Did the concentration of spells dissipate? Because you can't. It's innate magic. You. Can't do any magic. You can't have any magic going. Yeah, so I'm going to say that that drops the globe of invulnerability. Nice, nice. Really good. Which is good. That's. A. Huge spell. Another one. So it drops. Everything. What would she think? She dies. She's very. Confused. Well it'd be very hard to think. I rolled a 27. You beat her passive. You wouldn't know what, but you would know something. You would know something. The rule we did last time was that they could use their entire action to try to roll intelligence, trying investigation. Just try and figure it out. I think that she's. 900 Years old. First off something. But it has to beat my 27. Which is wondering really fucking seen in her. It's an action. 27 Stands is what we said. Yeah, that's how we did it for the last time. Start rolling. Yeah. She's going to step around Flynn. Take an up attack potentially. No. She stays. She's staying right? She's not. Leaving his not yet thing. I mean the only thing that she would do would look for it, but then she's not going to beat a 27. Even if she rolls in out 20, it doesn't beat it. So I don't know what her numbers are, but. She would step around Flynn or in her eye and then I don't even need to roll because she wouldn't be able to find. She's patting herself down. It doesn't even know if it's something on her. Yeah. Right. Well she knows she had the globe of invisibility or below fifth level though. So someone could hit her with a fucking dispel magic. Dispel magic at level nine. Okay then that's her turn. She can't do anything. Turn. Is it next? Is it my turn next? Yes, go for it. Okay. Make your text. So it's the Long Eve, it's dark out right? Is it dim? Okay, so I get advantage then with my style I'm going to get my blade. Okay. Nice. Yeah, let me just get it, bring it up. Can I ask you a question? Are you a threat? You better believe it. There you go. Alright. Okay, so vanish 23 to hit Artemisia. Okay. Yeah, I believe that hits. Unless she's got the world's best mage armor. She doesn't have it. Okay, so now it is. Yes, she doesn't have anymore. Oh her major armor dropped. That's right, you did the thing. So 17. We're like magic. Negation team. 25 Points of damage. Do you need anything separate? I think it's all psychic. Actually. No, let me see. You are within the. Yeah, I mean I think my blade still is up. I dunno, that's a question for the totem. Yeah. His blade's still up. It's just that you can't cast. In when you actively cast something with it, you can cast something on yourself and walk into it still. What did I say? 25. 25 damage. 25. Points of psychic damage. Damage, okay. As the. Blade kind of passes through, once again it doesn't seem like it cuts at all, but you just see the bloodshot eyes and bits of blood dripping from the eyes and nose. Okay. And I come in with another attack. Alright. Really freaking high. 28, 28. Hits. Yeah. Going down. Alright. Shaking. Yeah. 8, 12, 20 points of psychic damage against. Okay. And then I will, seeing an opportunity arise, I will action surge and come in again with two more quick attacks. Yeah. Alright, you. Come on. Okay, that is, you get me 24. 24. Hits? Yeah. 19 Points. Oh psychic. Okay, give me one second. Let's do the math. On that right now. Yeah, God. Okay. Okay. 25 for the that last attack. Oh yeah, that hits. Yeah, I forgot these are, it's the long eve, it's dark outside. 17 Points of psychic damage on top of that. Nice. Nice. Okay, so that is. Fuck ton of damage in one turn. Yeah. Oh yeah. Fighters baby. There. We are. The only thing I really do. Alright is that it. And then I will kind after that exhilarating round of she's just bleeding from the eyes and the nose and all that great stuff. I will kind of like and second wind is my bonus action. Nice. And then that'll be my turn. Awesome. Let me know what that is. These action search, not a bonus action. No, it's something I can do once per sure. Nice. Fucking awesome. One of the--fighters. Are cracked in game. I thought they were both bonus actions. He was out here all kinds of. Stuff, huh. No, it's just a thing which. Like bussing, but you're. I got 13 points. I'm going to add that to you. Okay, gotcha. And I just going to stare at music, just smiling with a grin and that's my turn. Get 'em playing. Yeah, actually I will move around her. The same thing that she did to me. I will move around her just so I'm now also out of the thing just in case I need to use spells. Yeah, for sure. Exactly right there. That's great. So block her off. Yeah, block her off. You ain't going nowhere. Okay. Alright, next up is the warden. Last we specified. Is the dragon floating or is the dragon on the ground? It is floating. Okay. It is floating. So the dragon would not be within. This is the dragon is not touching the ground as the warden reaches his sword up into the air and rotates it within his hands. So now he has it in a reverse grip and drives it down into the ground as this necrotic energy almost slides down off of the blade and infects the ground around it as spikes all jut up from the ground. I'm going to need thessaly who is now on the ground and Seeker to make a, what is it? This is the feature, the sword I'm guessing and not the. Spell. That is correct. A wisdom saving throw. Olma you within 10 feet of me. So what does that mean? Add five. Five. Plus five. I think Seeker's outside of it. Yeah. Wisdom. The whole dragon boy will get it though. The dragon does not get it because the dragon is not on the ground. Okay. That's a 26 for Olma. Okay, Olma succeeds. Seeker. Six. Six. Thessally. I'm sorry. It's bound to happen. That is a 24. You. Avoided all the other ones. Yeah. I'm sorry. Buddy. I've avoided a. Lot. 24 we half. Right? We don't dunno what it is know. But did you say necrotic DM? Yes. So I have resistance. Oh, nice. Quarter. Nice. Potentially. Probably a good thing. So Seeker, you were the only one taking the full brunt of this damage. You are taking 60 points of necrotic. Oh, I'm. Going to uncanny dodge that. It's a wisdom saving throw, not an. Attack. Yeah, you. Can't Well no, no, no. Uncanny dodge isn't about dex. This fit an attack attacker. If an attacker you can see Yeah, that's. Evasion. Oh you're doing so. If I the attacker make an attack, I can. It's a. Reaction. Okay. Wait, but is it not an attack roll specifically is like a weapon attack or is it a spell saving throat? I think I can you read it? Can you read it. Specifically? When an attacker you can see hits you with an attack, you can use your reaction to have the attack damaged. I mean hitting, they're still hitting him with the attack even though he's putting it into the ground. Yeah. But I would say. Attack. Say is it like fireball? Where would you classify Fireball as an attack? No, fireball's like a dex save, right? Yeah. This is. A wisdom thing. But this is also like a save. They're usually treated opposite. Yeah. I would say it's. Uncanny Dodge is very specifically attacks, which this is not an attack, it's a saving throw or an AOE. The language buddy. Is distinct for that reason. And then fair. Enough. Olma succeeded. So you take 30 points of necrotic damage. So just to be clear, I fall, I'm down. No, no, no. Is the totem still up? Yeah. Okay. So is the dragon. Okay? Oh so is that, wait, so is. The dragon, is the dragon still up? Oh no, no. I think it. Probably not. Does it keep ticking damage? Also just keep sucking life from me while you're down. Jesus. No, we specified in the spell. If you fall unconscious, the dragon disappears. Sick. That's nice. That's good. Really good. Okay, so Seeker falls. I. Don't know what. I don't know. The dragon folds up in this fifth dimensional sort of folding way and folds back into the card as the card falls to the ground. My goodness. Oh man, I can't fucking do it. Next up, what are you doing? You are still on this roof with a couple of mages and a guard. I'm so freaking mad man. Sorry. No, it's okay. It's okay. It's okay. Okay. Ok, ok. Okay. I'm going to, I'll pull the little top off of my little gourd. It's at my side and I will pull it out and it sort of swirls around me in a wave and I'm going to spend two key points to enter water form. Huh? What? I'm a wave. Four elements mark baby. You. So I will enter into wall form. This is what he does. That's what I. Do. I got a couple and then I'm going to, oh man, I'm going to run away. I'm just going to leave these guys' reach and I'm going to run and plant myself squarely in front of the warden. Oh, you're going to run the opposite one? Yeah, I'm going to run straight down and actually the other side if I could. Yep. So I'm lined up there? Yes. And I'm going to take the opp attacks. You'll take the opp attack first so that guard. Oh you mean the main. You take your one off the attack. Yeah, this is the main, still stunned. That guard. It's a 10 to. Hit 10, no. Swings and misses. Just. Uses my hand and slap it away. Yeah. I'm going to run down and I'm going to hit, oh wait, I got to spend two key points. I'm sorry. Freaking out man. I'm freaking out. Alright, I'm going to hit the emperor Emperor? What? Warden. The warden, with--He thinks. He's an emperor. Splashing. Emperor. Yeah. With silver wind I do have Thessally within five feet. So I get my sneak attack dice. Yes, you do. Is not great. That is terrible. Actually that's a 13 to hit. 13 Does not hit. Okay. And then a second attack natural 20. Nice. Okay, cool. So damage. Damage is. Yeah, eight plus six is 14 plus six is 20 plus seven is 20 points of damage on that natural and I'm going to spend a key point and try to stun him. Roll on top of it. Did you on top it's max plus max. So eight plus six is 14, so D six is a six. Right. Then eight, 14 plus my decks and plus one is, okay, so you weren't here right? So. 27 Total? No wait. Oh hit first one. So I'm sorry, it's an additional six. So 32. 32 plus. If it was 27 it's 33. Oh you're right. 33 plus another five for the sneak attack guy. So 38. 38. Nice. Take that snack attack. Take that attack. Attack some places. Yeah, I'm going to spend another to attempt a stunning strike on him. I guess he will. Alright come Olma. Sorry, I'm going to ask again. What is that for me? DC 18 con save. I know he's probably pretty good. At these. It's good. Doesn't matter if he's good at it or not. You got a natural 20. That bastard. That's okay. Be big at that lands. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then I'm chilling. I'm going to just put myself in between him and Ceallach who was over there. Okay. Alright. That is Brim. These mages. I'm going to roll in our kna check for these two mages. Yeah, they've been in there for a minute. They're figured it out. You'd think they would. Yeah. You forgot. But you forgot. So let's see who's first in the initiative. Okay, so the mage that is on the ground sort of in this alleyway, he's going to try again another, another. What's he going to do? Does he have any more spell sauce for fireball? Because that's what he's going to do. If he does. Let me see. Does he not care about Barrett Hastell? He's going to position it. Can he let see 20 foot radius. Can he position that he's going to. Hit one of 'em? Who's going to aim for if he's going to position it there? Let's see. Well if he plants it sort of at this doorway. Yeah, if he's in that position he sees a bunch of enemies. All lined up. Lined. Up. He sees two enemies. Okay. And one is invisible. So he sees two there. Yeah. Yeah, that's very true. I forgot about that. Yeah. And one. Is dead, but I mean those are the only people that flynn's way off. Those are the only people. Two. I'm with you. I'm just. Saying he's going to throw it. Back. Reminding he's going to be throwing it back. Okay. Oh, it's still going to hit the warden. So I'm going to see if he can, let me see. It doesn't really matter because this. The third one. So. It's good to see the math. It's good. To see the math. That's right. If he hits hits it's going to I totally about thing. Anyway. He tosses. This fireball halfway through the air, right? Oh my God, I forgot. Into the, so you now have. The moment that it hits totem. The totem closes. Oh thank. God, it closes. I'll be the only one to know that. Okay, because you're holding it. It moves and I'm like, oh no. Right. This other mage, however who was about to prepare the exact same thing does the exact same thing. So for him, I'm going to see if there is a place that he can put this best. What are you going to do first? Tell me what he's doing. Oh yeah, he doesn't do anything apparently because you're going to counter. But let's. Play it. We play it out. Why should I going to do No, so he conjures this fireball within his hands and he sort of does this. He's on top of a roof, so he sort of does this underhanded lob to try and place it correctly. I feel the totem close and I know, okay, now's my chance and I see him doing his arms and I counters spell. Okay, so that is he cast it at third level. Yeah. I cast it at third and it's. Okay, it's let's go saving people. Team negate my god. Magic. Let's go. Oh my gerd. So that is counters spelled saving. That's big. That's insane. Next time can't take. It. Olma. Olma. I cannot. Okay, bonus action. Wait, I have a bonus action still. Right. That was a reaction. Bonus action. I'm going to take a fucking potion. Yeah, okay. That's nice. Nice. So. I just have a standard healing potion and two d4 plus two five points back and I'm just going, no, for me, I think it was a, I'm sorry. You poured down in your. Dream. Fuck you're dead. Seeker's soul is like. Roll your death saving throw, get it over with. I'm just like. I don't know if I can waste, I don't think I have time to waste a spell slot or an action right now. That's valid. Economy. I need to, he can't see me so I don't have to make it. I can just run away. He's not going to up attack me, so I'm going to run away into the door his in. Okay. I'm running in there to get away from. Damage. I am just a scorched, frozen bloody heap leaning against the wall as you come in simultaneously frozen and on fire. One side is frozen, the other side is sick. What did you do with. The totem? And then I will, I left it. I said I was going to lead it on ground. You could see it. It's just on the ground. Okay. I left it and then I'm going to take a deep breath and cast, put my hands in front of me as you see just a rising beam of fire two Barrett has and cast immolation and I need a dex save, which I'll probably. Save. Is that a line? Do you need a straight. Line? No, I don't need a straight line. No. It's just you a line. Okay. You said a straight line so I mind. Throwing it. Okay, gotcha At, okay, so what is that going to be from. Him. Dex save. He's not. Very dexterous. Let that's I was thinking, that's what I was thinking. He a big boy, a big forward and all that. Going to be a dexterity saving throw. Oh, that's seven. Fail. Okay. In the other half of it. Okay. Even him out. He's going to burn for the entire spells duration. He's shedding light for 30 feet. Dim light for an additional 30. He's going to take a saving through on each of his. Just know that you are currently within that your sword would reduce damage. I was too, although I do like light it away. It is literally just a beacon in the middle of this town. I like it. Him and Brim both. Can I hear some? You want a light show? Yeah. One I need 1, 2, 3. Fire would do it. 5, 6, 7, 8. I think he said is. It, it's something. Does your. Fire light be. Bright light? That would be dim from Brim. Oh, so he would've. Probably even So it is good. So. 5, 10, 15, 21, 22, 23 6, 28. Points of fire damage and he stays on fire. Okay, nice. I like that. I like it. I like how I like it. When does he take the damage for that? Every turn. Every turn. No, no. He takes one and then he's going to save again and then he's going to take I. Roll again. Does he on his turn or is it on your turn? No, he takes it right away. I mean the burning. 28 Points, that's his damage right now. Right away. Yeah. I'm talking about the burning. What does he mean? You said it continues. On turn. His turn, turn, turn. He has to save one second I think. So you're. Going to do. Oh, it's doubled up. Yeah, at the end of his term though. Instead at the beginning. Okay. Has an opportunity to save. He's going to be. Burning like crazy. Yeah, right. This guy's all. Have anything to say about. It. We're just making it worse. It. Starts raining out of nowhere and the fire goes up. Acid rain. Yes. Okay. Sorry. I have no idea whose dice is. No, you're fine. I that other. Things. That was 28 points of fire down. Oh. 28. Okay. And he's on fire. Fire. He's not. He's distinguished other than by magical means. Magical. Rain starts coming. That is Olma's turn. Next up we've got a couple of these. Guards. Oh, wild magic surge. Oh we have, was that the first spell that you did? Yeah. Okay. Okay, cool. I just want to make sure. Six. Six. Okay, so that's good. Oh, counterspell. Oh yeah, counterspell. Yep. 15. We're good. Okay. Sometimes it's good though. Sometimes it's great. Yeah, sometimes it vanishes a certain word. We were to take that gamble right now though. I'm sorry. Seeker. Olma just runs into a house and then the house just. I'm sorry I left you. Inside. But. You know what? You're supposed to put an oxygen mask on first before you help others. That is true. That. Is what they say. That is totally, totally. Fair. Have a couple of guards about nine hit points. I'm worried about these areas. Let's see. So we've got, I think it's only going to be on guards that are. Disadvantage on you because you're prone, if they shoot you. Why would they shoot? The fire is 10. Feet the fire is in. So from their perspective, they are not even able to see Flynn at the moment. They're sort of a roof in the way because Flynn is on the ground. What they can see though is the fighting in the center here. So they are going to get a clean shot. They're human torch is there in the middle, you mean? Yeah, they're going to run over to this rooftop beacon. You could see me now potentially. Technically. If you want to shoot me. They're running to a goal and you're sort of off to the side. I loved it. Yeah. And then those two and the guard that Brim was originally entangled with, they're going to get out more of their explosive crossbow bolts and they are going to fire them right behind Thessally. So I'm going to need dexterity saving throws from Thessally and Brim. At least. That's not going to hit Seeker. We're going to do one by one. I'm nervous. Each of you give me one. There's three of them. I don't think they've taken much damage though. Their aim isn't good those guys. No. Yeah, I think we're good. 16. That succeeds. Okay. 10. A 10. So that fails. So you're going to take 16 points of fire damage. Okay. And eight points of fire damage. I also have evasion from Monk so I don't take. Oh, so you don't take it. Nice. Okay. That's awesome. Monk 10 or something. Next bolts. So I'm going to need one more. 14, shoot, a 14 succeeds no damage. Thessally. Sorry, I'm disassociating. Yeah. Fuck this dice. 10. Right. 10. That does not succeed. Yeah, I know that's going to be five points of fire damage. Okay. That's not bad. And last one. Just five? Yeah, just. Five. Oh, just five points of fire. Sorry. You're like, I'm ready to get. Full on. Succeed. Natural. 20. Okay. I will say on a natural 20 you are able to completely evade you. Do not take any damage. Love. That. You're sweet. DM, Thank you so much. Thank you. Blessed, generous, DM. Blessed. Blessed. Best DM. Ever. We appreciate him. We do. Okay. Ceallach. Okay. Okay. Is there an exit? It kind of looks to me like in this building there's and Artemisia. That would be correct. Okay. Okay. And I'm aware that they're over there. You would be aware, especially because Artemisia is there. You would be hyper aware of where she is anytime in the battle. Yeah. Okay. I think we can all see that the totem is in the center closed. Yeah. Well I just saw all my cast spells, so I'm going to be able to tell. Oh right, sure. Yeah. So yeah. Okay, first things first. I'm going to, let me see. Lemme see what level I want to cast. The big one, the boom. Let me cast heal. Everyone. Heal around corners. Everyone gets healed. But only the people I choose. Yeah. Yeah. I am. We are. I'm making sure I have health potions on me. Next time we go into a fight. I am. I don't think I have anything there amiss. I can't believe I didn't. Alright, what's Ceallach doing? I think you have one. Unless you already used it. I don't. Don't remember when, but I don't. How's everybody looking? Rough. I look out. Seeker is dead. Seeker's dead. Yeah. Seeker's unconscious, you see. I'm kind of. Almost super wounded. Can't. You? Can't see me. No one can see. But I'm going. You got in. Okay. Alright. Alright. I know my job. I know my job. We have to remember our job sometimes. Sometimes. The job is. Hard. I'm. Going to pull a once more pull ashes within my hand in there. They have just the teeniest bit of a golden shimmer to them. As they pull, I'm going to pull them down across my nose. But then as I do pull them from the top of my temple too, my nose, they actually continue to flow until they fall like a curtain around my body and they begin to twist into patterns and spiral outward until they become one with the air and it just explodes outward from me. And I'm going to cast mass cure wounds. Yay. Yay. That's amazing. That's from every orifice of this house. I bike these ashes, pour out and fly to you within 30 feet up to six creatures. So I think I can hit everybody. I think. Or do you have to see them? Yeah, we'll. Say everybody. A radius. Yeah, we'll say every. Yeah. So I think you're good. I think so. You're pretty. Great. I'm right next to him. Yeah. The only one can't you get. Flynn? You don't have to see. Okay, great. I mean. Flynn is the furthest and he is. Is that still within. 25? It, he's in it. Too? Yeah. I actually can indicate a point too. So I could put it at the corner of the house if I need to. That's so good. And so it's just going to. It's going down. Yeah. How much health did we. All get back? Well, let's all, I'll find out right now. Do the rolls. We all need this. Right now. We all need No, no. I'm literally. Okay and I'm going to burn a divine ember to empower that. Anything above one is great. I invite you to. Slightly better. Why invite? Why can't. Do it twice? I No. Why not? Just do that. Just. Keep doing. You like it in general. It means so much. It just means so much overall. Yeah. Seeker, you get max anyway. Unconscious. Get max. You get max. So whatever thre dd8. Is. 24. That's really 29. 29 For real. This time there it is there. And then everybody else gets fucking, what is that 15? Eight plus seven is 15. Yep. Plus five, which is 20. Everybody else gets 21. You get a little sick. I do, but happy. No one can see under so it's fine. No one can see under the helm. It's good. Can you let me know where your HP is right now? Three, eight plus. Five. Okay. Yeah. Thank you. Thank you. Yes. Why do you want to know so bad? Thanks. Why are you. Working? Because I am coming for you. Thanks. She. Will not survive. Guess what? I'm not going anywhere. Lemme know. B Hass coming. How much was that? 24. I also get that. It was 20. It was 20 total. 20 total. 20 total. Yeah, 20 total. Yeah. You also get that. Make sure you get that. We all needed that. I had you cannot. That's I really hope because I just kept getting blasted in the center. The noses are dirty. Those AOEs are serious. Yeah. So I'm going to give Olma a reassuring look as the curtain sort of falls away for me. Give a wary look in the direction of Olma because I know where the spells shot from. I pat his arm and thank you. And then I'm going to go out to the door where Flynn is fighting Artemisia and I'm just going to stand in that doorway. And you know what? Inside or outside? Outside. I'm going to go, I'm going to go right up to her. Yeah. And just lock eyes and give her a shake in my head. She's not going anywhere. I see. No more fucking coins. Get up in there. This is when you want a coin. No. Do we have a coin? No. Nope. No. Also, I don't know if it would work actually because she's got to negate magic on her. I feel like if you put it, we knock out and then take the string off and then put the. Well I will, if I can just give a look to Flynn and say this one lives. Oh and Flynn can take that out however he wants. But that's what I'm going to say. Okay. All right. All. Others may die. That's. Real coldblooded to say. Somebody just walked into a fight. That's coldblooded. This one lives. Alright, next up we got a couple mages coming through. It's. Problematic. So let's see. We've got the mage on the rooftop. Are they stunned still? No, it ended at the end of my turn. It ended at the end of your turn. I'm not. So we have got those two mages right there. What are they going to do? Cry. They're going to. Crying's a free action! Oh, I'm so. Sorry. Unless it's an enemy and then it's all their. Actions. They're going to go back for reinforcement. Yeah, they're really concerned. They're going to cry as a reaction and they're going to use a bonus action cry. Additionally, they're going to use their action to sob. Oh, I was going to say to dash away, but curl. Into the fetal position. And cry to get into the fetal position. They go prone on purpose of these working. I think these are working. These sound like great options. We are helping. I did not hear a single word of anything. You guys serious? So gentleman, he's cooking right now. He's in the DM zone. I don't like, he's making a star meal back there about to cook. I don't death. I don't like this Michelin stuff. Yeah. Death smoothie he's got going on over here. I don't like it. A smoothie of death. True. You mean a layman on fricking blender we're in. That's what I want. I'm surrounded, I mean dude props. I want nothing left. Terrible. I love it. It are all also far away. Two of the mages, one of them that is on the roof and one of them that is in the alleyway, they're going to use their final third level spell slot. Guess a couple of fireballs. They are going to see if they position these as such. Now this is the part that I'm going to explain out loud and please tell me if this is incredibly unfair, but they're probably going to position them in a way to where it might go in the doorway that Olma is in. I will give you half cover though for your dexterity savings point. I didn't, there was no specifications. It was off hinges. So. Is that's totally wild. Or I'm going to tell you right now, I'm going to at least counters spell one of these and can I use a sorcery point to twin spell a counters spell. Oh. During a reaction. What does this? Does it say an attack? Yeah. Spell. It says no action. Twin spell says no. Just as a thing. Does it say what kind of kind of spell it has to be attack saving throw. Can you read? I'll see the spell counter. That would be awesome. So fucking cool. Yeah, so the door's open then. Twin spell. You send three points. Oh okay. Okay. You can spend source three points equal to the spells level in this case. Three to target a second creature in range with the same spell as long as the spell at the level it's being cast is incapable of targeting more than one creature and counters spell is incapable of countering more than one creature. You counterspell l spell. I've seen a reason to not. So I'm going to Twin spell. That's cool. Oh shit. Resource. Three points and I'm going to cast it so you can figure out if there's another one that's going to throw it. But I'm going to counter. Spell. There is third. Wait lemme see. Is. There another name? I'm going to counter spell two of them. Cool. That's counter. Okay, they're counterspelled what? I just like, okay they're counter. Okay. No it's fine. Seeker. Awesome. Picking my head up, shaking it. Oh yeah. My head, by the gods and I will roll over and look at the totem and make, I will stand up and pick it up all and I will see Barrett and I'm going to turn it but not to open it. I'm going to turn it to use it. Got three fireballs in there. Yeah. Heck yeah. Heck yeah. Could you use all of 'em? That'd be insane. It's one spell per time. But that's you. Throw three fireballs all at once. That'd be so wild. You could probably get. Oh, destroy the house. Yeah. So I am going to activate it in order to throw a fireball and I want to catch at the edge of it has and I want to try, so I'm looking back. Nice. That 20. I want to slide it over to the right. I want to try and get at least one of these mages. One of them is in there. One of them's on one of. I can get two if we go here. Let me because that was just a really crude--So what is it? It's a 24. Radius. 24 radius. Yeah. So. That is fuck 10, 15, 20. Oh there we got this. Move my right boom. Woo. She and the boys got three of those so I think that's a big boy. I just think, yeah, the best you wouldn't be able to this right here. That would be your best to get those lower. That's pretty big. Taking the warden, the warden, two guards and this man is getting cooked. Literally you would be literally, unless you were two of the mage and one of them, unless you valued a single mage over two guards. So that math is just up to you? Yeah. Oh I see. You hate mages both mages or one mage in two guards. But either way the Warden is, they don't have any. More three last. That was up. I saw them hurling fireballs. I don't know if they're out. So I want to get these mages. Okay, that's smart. So I'm going to hold up the totem, turn it so I normally turn it. What is that? That's well counterclockwise. Turn it clockwise. Take a. Moment. Righty tighty. Lefty loosey. It's been a while. So I turn it and I look at Hastell dead in his eye and I say with my offering I honor the gifts given and I cast the third level Fireball. You decided that we're getting the mages correct. Is this fireball that's actually gone off? I think so. Can reuse. So that is cycle. I'll have you roll this. That is going to be 8 d6, 8 d6, and then I'm going to be rolling those. I have a lot of d6s. Dexterity saving throws. You need any more? Lemme know. No, I'm good. It's right in my wheelhouse. He's a rogue ladies and gentlemen, he got these sixes in space. Oh it's so satisfying. It is. It's great to hear I like. All the, and before you start to deal the damage I will just specify all three of them miserably failed. So this. Is full damage for all. I. Just look how Barrett's already on fire, already burnt and he's just more. Also. Half of him charred already. He also covered in. You're water now though. Yeah, you're both, I can only do one elemental form at a time but the genasi's different. So I'm fired water right now. He's awesome. Just so that you guys know if he dies from my immolation, he turns to ash. Yeah, he gonzo. Yeah. Done. What he's done. Done. He cannot be revivified. Oh he's like, oh. Wow. If he dies from my immolation, they. Would have to get some, I'd have do like some true resurrection on. That dude. No, I mean there's nothing. Not even a part of him left. I don't know how. Long. Yeah, but you can True resurrect. That's true. That's. True. Seeker, what is that damage? 27. 27 To all. Damage. Is that half or no? They all fail. No, they all. Fail. Yeah, they all fail. Yeah. That's 81 points of damage in a turn when you combine it across. That's what you did. Yeah, that's exactly what I did to art. I. Threw it back. That's like I caught it and then I threw it back at it. It would be great if you just went up and play 'em though. Yeah, it would be. Okay. This massive fireball goes off and it just burns everything in its path. The tree that's in the middle of everyone is completely burned to ashes. Oh god. Sorry. Sunploom. A. Huge chunk of this house that the mage is standing on completely burns away. They're going to do a dexterity saving through to see if they are still on top or they fall. Into the fire. They are able to just stumble over the destroyed part but they're cooked. And same with the warden. He is cooked but he is still up and looking at you. Is that your. Action? That was my action for my, I am going to, can I see how much distance it would be to get over to where Artmesia is? So. That would be 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 feet of movement for you. You'd be able to get there or 30 if you wanted to position yourself differently. Alright, so instead I am going to go around the corner where the mage is off of my the one that, yeah, that one. I'm going to go as far around that building as I can. I'm going to use a bonus action to disengage them. So. I don't think so that is 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30. You want to go to the full movement? Yeah. Okay. And that will be my turn. Okay. This guard way over here, this guard is going to take a step back and I doubt we he's running away. Anyone would see this. But. You crying. I'm going to keep out there. Crying. See him crying. He's going to take a kneeling position. Oh no. He's going to go fetal. And he is going to adjust his crossbow and there's a little switch on the side. So he switches his crossbow and the crossbow magically sort of extends and this. He's about to snip snip. He's setting up a tripod. Over here. What do you call it? The thing that goes in your shoulder when you hit the stalk. The stalk. Okay boys. This wood stock apparates into his shoulder and he kneels down and the extension on the front of the crossbow elongates even further and he's going to try and take a shot at Brim. So this is going to be a 23 to. Hit. Intercepted. I'll use my reaction to catch it. We both go. That's amazing though. Well you're arguing he's fine. What? No, I'll go and then I'll realize he's got it. I'm like okay. Oh that's amazing. Okay, so that. 23 To hit is completely negated. Correct? Well let's find out. So immediately after you take, Nope, that's the wrong thing. Deflect missiles. There it is. One d10 plus my dex mod plus my monk level. Holy shit. That's probably really fucking high, that's one but one plus five is six plus. What did it say? My monk level is 11. 11, 11. 11, 11. It negates 11 points of damage so it negates. 17 Points of damage. Oh, 17. Points of damage. 11 plus the six, the max on that is not even going to it. Reach and then I will spend a ki and shuck it. Right. At general, what's his name? Does that technically? Nevermind. I'll, I'll just, yeah, yeah, because I'll be a disadvantage to do it so I'll just catch it and then it just drops to the ground. Okay. Not today. I'll catch it and then I turn it up and just, it just, okay, cool. We almost turned into team. Returned to sender. Alright then I'll share look with Thessally if I may. Just as part of the flavor I'll be like, thanks. I just raise an eyebrow. Okay, next up the two guards that are on the roof to the left are going to do the exact same thing. They go over to this edge of the roof and kneel down and they take aim at Flynn. And with that, that first one is going to be an 18 to hit, miss, misses. Okay. And as it misses, it shoots right past your hip and normally you would hear the clatter of a crossbow bolt behind you in the rocks, but instead you hear the crossbow bolt bury itself into the stone of. That. Sounds the street behind you and the second one does the exact same thing goes over your shoulder, buries itself into the rock in the street. Okay. Good work. Yeah. Next up. Yeah. Okay. Scary, I want to end Barret. I'm still mad. I'm just going to stab him again. Yeah. You are. Yeah, go for it. Get.'Em. Get 'em, get him get I just rolled my two wild magics and I got a 10 and a 14. Okay. And before you roll, roll those. Yes. Give me a second. Oh. Why? I'm going to allow those to be at advantage with the just did. Oh. That is so cool. Thank you. Barrett has is very much. Thank you. His attention is turned to Brim for this moment of him lighting the crossbow bolt on fire. So make your attacks at advantage please. I love this. Thank you. Yeah, you're welcome. Okay. Okay. Okay, so the first one is a 21. A. 21 Hits. Nice. Okay, so I'm going to go ahead and roll down for that and I am pouring a third level divine smite. You are there you are. Let's go. It was always my intention. Okay. Okay. Now I have to remember how many times fine throwing haymakers over here. Love to see it. Five. Oh, that's. What this does. Last time we ran away from. D8. Seems right. Can I get one more? D8 definitely needs a d8 please. A d8 from someone. Pretty, pretty, pretty. Thank you. You're welcome. Oh actually I do need one more for the slashing damage. There you do. How many dice do you have in your hand? It's double plus some improved divine. It's a lot. There's a lot of mining going on every year. I love it. 20. 27 plus 5 is 10. 37 and then I get 38 points on first. You. Wait, you have been very vocal about this, so I am going to ask how Barrett Hastell's demise comes about. Please. Describe the end of Barrett. Okay, so helm still up. Eyes still glowing memory of Seeker going down and being very concerned about Ceallach and I am just going to, if you'll allow me, I said it was only one sword, but I would like to use both and I'm going to get him executioner style running both of them across his neck. I'm. A bighead. Okay. Barrett Hastell for the briefest moment with Brim's intimidation of burning the crossbow bolts in his eyes. You see his eyes just waver for half of a moment and by the time he looks back to you, your swords have already crossed through his throat. There is a moment of shock and realization painted on his face as his head rolls off of his shoulders and. Fuck. Amazing. Off the board. That was one attack. That was one attack. Remind me not to piss her off. You have advantage on Artemisia still, right? I still have advantage on Artemisia unless we've gone 10 rounds, which I don't think, don't think we have nope. And I have my full movement. Yes, yes you do. You do. And you did not hear me say this one lives and I didn't hear that. I don't think so. Yeah, I muttered it. No. My. Wings have been up the whole time. I. Look majestic. Oh, are you going to glide over there? I'm going to fly over to it. I'm going to take the short sword and I'm going for the ribs if I can. Amazing. Truly a vision of death approaching Artemisia right now. So that would be at. Advantage. Oh, still? You have vow of enmity? Yeah. Vow. Of, yeah. Oh yeah, because I have, okay, okay. Does a 19 hit her? 19 Hits? Yeah. Yeah. Nice. Okay, nice. Sorry, I'm very excited. So good. Thessally's turning it around. Oh, oh boy. Oh, and I'm pouring my smite. This one. This one will be at second. She's. A little salty. Lighter on the, I just like. That. What happens if we kill. All of the leads? What does everybody else do? If we kill the leaders then we could just be like, do you want to die too? We could try doing that or cut off the head, right? Yeah. I didn't roll high on this one. Cut off that. I roll 40 points of 19. Three is 22 points of damage on that one. Nice. 22. Points of damage. Okay. And it's going, let me do some real quick. Right into her sternum, like right. Between. No fucking way. Like a gust of wind just pours over me in flame. Okay, I'm going to do some math because I can't do this math and I'm telling you it's going to be close. Sonic boom. I can also. I haven't. Used a bonus action actually yet. We need to buffer back. Up. Yeah, I'm wondering. So Artemisia is fully facing both Ceallach and Flynn. Yeah. Your wings furl out, you glide over and in one motion you take your sword and from behind stab her through the ribs and Flynn from the other side. All you see is these wings furl out from the back and you see a sword go through her abdomen. Oh geez. As Ceallach she looks to you, blood starts to pour out of her and she drops to her knees. I'm going to let you have a reaction to this. Oh, you want to keep her? Am I aware that this is her dying? These are her last moments. It might not be currently, but as soon as that sword comes out, she will. Be, she's going to be over. Okay. I will give you the decision if Artemisia lives or dies. Oh. That is so cool. Up to you. Oh boy. Yes. This is all kind of happening in slow motion as I see Thessally of all people skewing Artemisia of all people. Oh, I look down at the symbol in my hand, the golden rings of light, of generosity and kindness and empathy and I glare at Artemisia and I squeeze my hand to the point where blood is coming out from around the scar around the rings. No, boom, I cast spare the dying. Oh. Okay. Thessally in that exact moment that cast spare the dying, you pull your sword out as in that moment ick, you save Artemisia her eyes roll back, she falls to the ground unconscious. All of the other guards turn and see this, see the warden beheaded in the cent square of town, the Artemisia unconscious. The dwarven guards are going to turn and run as you can just hear the patterning of their footsteps on the tile roofs. And you hear as the four mages disappear from the battlefield. And as you all take a moment to look around, take a breath. Flynn battle has been crazy. And you take a moment and you realize you won this battle without asking for help. Seeker first time using this tribute totem in battle and it truly was like having another hand in combat. You didn't think twice about it. Thesally just an absolute monster on the battlefield, really taking credit for taking down both of the true threats and also using the helm of vengeance and the wings in such an intuitive manner. Olma counter spelling left and right and Ceallach making the choice to spare a mentor turned enemy. You all level up and as you do, I would like to invite Seth to come on over and take a seat in the DM's chair. I'm going to close out my things and swap places. Oh my god. Yeah. That's a lot right there. There it is. Your. Noggin. Yeah, you can come right here. Hey buddy. Hey buddy. Good luck. Thanks. You're going to need it. Okay. Big hugs. It's sweat, it's sweat. Sweat too. Just sweat. My eyes are sweating. Little bit of something face. God. Ooh, it suits you. Hello everyone. Look. At you. Looking good. You guys look beautiful. I don't know if this will, Ethan, thank you so much for trusting me with this. Thank you all for trusting me with this and I hope to do it all justice because you guys have built something really, really amazing. Alright. As the battlefield calm slowly descends over this town, square doors locked the snow sort of gently falling in the aftermath of this resolution of a sorts in a big way for many of you Ceallach, you see at your feet by your mercy the form of Artemisia lying on the ground as the blood still drips from thessaly swords. Each of you taking the scene, the flames sort of engulfing this part of this town square. So as this silence descends over the battlefield, the form of Barrett has still engulfed in flames from Olma's immolation unless you decide otherwise. Nope. Stealing engulfing plate vanishes into ash on the wind. Let's go. Just real quick. Since the whole Barrett Hastell thing I've been trying to keep an eye on. Ceallach, how do you look? Not. Great. Okay, I'm going to rush over to you and as I do so, yeah. I've kept up sort of a veneer in my staring down of Artemisia of as I want to, keeping my posture really upright and trying to be imposing. But as soon as she hits the ground, it's just like. I am going straight to you. Wings still up, but the helm goes down. I stop glowing as I, I'm going to keep flying over and I'm going to take one hand and I'm put my other hand to your face and I'm going to touch you in order to give you all 60 of my lay on hands pool immediately. Oh wow. What does that look like when Thessally does that? Her lay on hands. So this crystalline sort of star-like glow emanates from my heart in my chest and then it pours down into my arm and into my fingertips. And so where I'm holding his hand and touching his face, the light will transmit to him and give him healing. Awesome. The light sort of trickles down and covers your wounds as they begin to close. How's Thessally looking? You've seen her worse. I've definitely looked worse, but I don't look great. I look tired. Well, as you're sort of leaning into me also, I'll put my hand up to your face and I'll cast your wounds. Alright. A beautiful moment. And you know what, I'm going to ask Fimir to do it. During the Long Eve? I'm going to do it. He's going to up to. Do it. Oh my mind. Oh, so I don't want you to be sick. Might literally oh my stars. Oh, my literal. Star. That is going to be, she's going to be mad at you. It's 11, 16 points of healing from Fimir. Is there nausea? Not with, oh. There. Does it work? So Ceallach, as you reach for the familiar magic of Fimir, is there anything you do or say to reach out to that source that you have gone a time without? Well I'm going to, as I've long done in my life, speak to Fimir just in my head and I'll sort of regard Artemisia as I'm doing it. I gave you this one. Give me a bit back and try and channel just through the golden symbol without any of the ashes that light magic to heal Thessally. As you look into Thessally's eyes, there's a moment where nothing happens. And then in her eyes you see reflected behind you, the stars of the Long Eve and they kind of flare gently in Thessally's eyes as the symbol in your palm comes to life and your healing magic washes over and there is no sickness. Hey. Hi. Let's not do that again. You scared me. Oh why? Under control. Yeah. From big scary big sword guy back there. You had. Not so scary. Now is he? No, he's very dead. Yeah. You're all right about that. I feel okay. I'm wondering how you all feel about me feeling okay about that? I thought he was going to kill you so. No, I. I am doing fine by the way. Flynn! Oh, I do you. Hands are holding each others'. Faces. Yeah. I go to break away. I go, Flynn do you need healing? No, I'm okay. I'm limping into the scene. Oh yeah, I've been better. Too, do you. Need. What do we do with her? Ceallach. What do we do with her? I have a suggestion. I trot over and I'm pulling my hood down as I come over. Oh. Oh, okay. I have a suggestion. Alright. Lay. Well we got to go so we don't have a lot of time to take her back to anywhere, but maybe we can ask Keeper to put her in some kind of. Could. You. Contain her. I don't know what the limitations are of Keeper's ability. If we tie her up the chamber tie up her mouth, she probably can't cut. She's. Already got, she's got the string on her that. She doesn't know is on her. Did you put, so if her hands are tight and she can't take it off, hey just got no magic. One thing, one idea. Is there a way we could use some kind of a web so we know that you've done that? That's a really good suggestion. Okay. But. No we already, we have that already though. If. One of us. Is control and we need again now because of the mind control. As I look over, we have that. Already. We can come up with it later. I just. Yeah. But yeah. It's a good suggestion. I don't know the answer. And I look at the totem in my hand. I say probably could use one for this too. Sorry if it bothered you all. Well it just makes it a little tough. Well I'm bleeding out of my stomach and I can't use any magic to hit it. I do hit it just, but it turned out. I stop people from doing things that makes me a little frustrated. It did eat about three fireballs or something like that. It swallowed some good spells that I think would've knocked us off our feet. So. I liked it. Brim says from the center. Well of course you did, also what? You were great. Brim. Still lit up. Is he like a water. Elemental now? Yeah, so Brim is sort of standing in the middle and during this part he actually, he reaches over and pulls the water from the well and sort of sends it coursing along his arms. He goes down to the very low sort of martial arts stance and he pushes it towards the burning house and the tree to put that fire. Nice of him to do. We should have not thought about. And. I can't move water like that all the time. Well fire. Can I. And then with his eventually though the fiery sort of magma look of him does fade. His hair sort of comes back down around his shoulders and the eyes just slowly, the black and sort of lava of his skin goes back and recedes into just the red and black sort of fissure look of his eyes. Can. All the monks do that? Could I have done that if I stayed? Not that. Oh okay, that's a you thing. But maybe this and he's going to spend six ki points. Oh, how many key points does he have? That's it just about, he's got 13. So he's use, we're going to use them all hospital. He's going to send, spend six ki points and he sort of sends the water towards you and it slowly kind of swirls around you and you will regain 38 hit points. So as that's happening, I'm going to cut a glance over at Thess. Thank you. Okay, that's really cool. That is pretty cool. So we'll take Artemisia back and we'll ask Keeper to keep her right and then we'll go to the monastery. Yeah, we should probably get, I'm. Binding her arms and legs getting something over her eyes and mouth. She seems pretty dangerous. Are you guys, are we sure we want to leave her with Keeper? I can carry. Her. Do you have a better suggestion? Not exactly. I got nothing on my. Hundred tons feet then unfortunately. No, she looks a little slight to me. I. Keeper said he can take away all of the air from a room air and he. Doesn't need air. He doesn't need air, she does need air and we don't want her to die. She goes, could just choke her out essentially. If she gets out. Yes. Right. We got to see what kind of defensive prisons that Keeper has. Maybe there's something for something like this. I. Mean maybe he could just get rid of a door in the chamber. He had to do a special thing to make the. Door. If I'm The Red Wolf and thinking the possibility that Artemisia turns on me. Right, I would think, I don't know how paranoid Lord Afton was, but he was certainly a psychopath. I also. Don't know, I don't know how you feel about bringing someone like this into the monastery. So that's also kind of your call. Right? You guys put me in a really weird position. Welcome to the group. Well, because the thing, if we take her back right now, it's easy to get there, but it's not easy to get back. Here. That's right. That's true. No, we have to keep going. That's a good point. The monks of the monastery can definitely handle one person. There's several of us. I am loathe to leave her with anyone that I don't know or might have an agenda. You want to bring her with. Us? She. There's. Always, nothing I can. Get her. She's proof that I'm, but I could get my old life back. The temple. I can prove that I wasn't on. Oh. But you're an agent. I know. You don't want your old life at the temple back. Well Olma, he might. No, he wants to stay with us. 45 What? 30 some years a life that this Olma stole from me. That's all. I can't lose her. Can lemme take her with us. Well I'm worried that we have days travel. Are we going to be able to keep her locked up? Oh I can knock people out pretty good Flynn. Sure. But you might be sleeping at that moment. I can put that to sleep. She passed right now. So if we gag her, she's. Gone. Maybe eventually she finds, I'm just saying maybe it's better to have her locked up than just laying on. It's okay. The side of the. It's okay. We'll have her come with us and we'll just keep watch. We're going to have to keep watch anyway. Keep watch anyway. And I can also punch pretty hard so I think we'll be okay. After all six sets of eyes are better than just Keeper's. That's true. Right. And keeper can remove the air from a room, but I don't know how good he is isn't it? What if time stops? For example, she does that thing where she stops time. Right? Well she doesn't have her hands right now and she can't do any magic. True. But I think so we keep her with us. Yes, we keep her with. Us. Okay. Can someone gag her? I. Already. Oh you did it. Oh wow. You're fast. Is she awake or asleep right now? She's unconscious. I'm. Covering eyes gagging mouth. I've gagged mouth tied up hands and feet. And we'll be able to carry her for days on end. Go. Make, I'm going to call this a survival check for knot tying. Oh, okay. And then Shane, if I could have you roll a d4 for me. One plus poor. I know what. Yes. This is to determine how long she's unconscious. She's unconscious. Ah. One. One. Okay. So she's unconscious for two hours. I would say Ceallach with his knowledge of medicine and you know, got a couple hours before she regains consciousness. Okay. Okay. That was. A seven. Seven. Okay, cool. Yeah. Super good naps. And then we'll just put her to sleep. We can do that right? If she wakes up. Yes. Can I look over all the knots that were done and just double check them or Yeah, if you go to double check them. So I'm watching him. He's kind of distracted while he is doing it and I'm just. Sure. I'll say yeah when you look, there's definitely room for improvement on the knot. So you could point it out to, if you'd like. You got to pay attention. Seeker. You're making that one. That one. It's going to fall out in two seconds if she wiggles a little bit. Oh. I'm sorry. I just. Go and roll again from. Nearly dying. He's. A little tired and I'm going to, as he does that, I will give him healing hands. Hand on a shoulder you can heal. 12. Oh that's helped. Eight. What did I roll the first time? Seven. Seven, seven. Almost point out. That was the first time that was advantage. I'll let you re-roll with the advantage. Hey 19. There it's and you're doing good. You're doing good. Just wait, I get a lot meaner. Yes, thank you. You have the power to take it away. You have the power to say that second one and take it. Good catch. I wasn't feeling too good. I'm. Sorry. I'm not trying to make fun of you. It's okay. It's kind of, if you didn't it would be weird. Yeah. So it's okay. We should go. We. Should go now. Before more people come. Right. How long is she asleep for Ceallach? A couple hours. Okay. Hearing her. I got her. And I'll. Stay right away side. Alright. Keep my eye on. Her. And I do like a sack of potatoes, like no care given. Just the head thunk off the back of the plate. I actually have a quick question. When I was standing there silently watching them heal each other or whatever each other, did I get a vibe roll for sexual tension guys? I called it out. I feel like I'm going to standing there watching this. I'm like, oh yeah. So what do you go and roll inside? I like idea the idea. I'm going to go ahead and give the advantage. That I just like the idea of Flynn being right there at the whole time. Two characters are. Touching. Each other. Holding each other's faces. Oh you said insight. I he was rolling. Rolling insight. They're holding each other's faces and Flynn is still like, what's going on here. In your head? I was like, what was that? Seems unusual. 13. 13. I would say you definitely got an inkling, but this is, that was a little odd. Say more than. Healing. It was a little too lingering. Okay. There was look, it was a little was lingering. A little linger. Strong lingering. Okay, good to know. Good to know. Strong lingering vibes. I just give. A little squint to both of them and then I just, I don't say anything. Do you. Need healing? Flynn, you okay? No, I'm fine, I'm good. Alright. I think we got some from Ceallach during the fight and that kind of took away some of the wounds that I had. I really didn't get hit too much. Good for you. Must be nice. If anyone needs looked after, I can do some while we're on our. Way, maybe on the way. Yeah, I will kind of pointing. Maybe Flynn, I can help hasten travel or those of us that could use it. I'm good. But I think you should hasten some people. You are. Pretty fast. A little slow. I glare it. Brimm. He's got. Little legs. His legs are, but yeah, I think he's pretty fast too. Don't want you stop it. He's not fast. I gave the most gentle elbow so I don't. Hurt you. He's a little fast. You don't get this. And I will pull some the rest of you come the rest of you. I with. Home. I love it. The. Rest of you come here. Okay. And I will pull some sand from the pouch on my belt and just whisper. And as I toss the sand towards our feet, it turns into the grains. Just turn, fall into this purple plasma and wrap your feet. And I've cast long strider on. Oh, what does that. Do? Yeah, I can do, I can. So 1, 2, 3, 4. So I'll do two castings and you all get 10 extra feet of movement on your. Okay, so they match. Yeah. So it'll be closer to you guys. I don't know. What you're at at. It lasts an hour. Okay, cool. 40, but. All right, let's get going. And I'm just going to give Seeker a quick pat on the shoulder, which would be quite different than previously and cast your wounds. It's 13, 16 plus 21 Points of healing as the wounds that you have get stitched together with the ashes that kind of pour out of my hand over them. They crawl across your body to find the places and weave them back together. Start rolling my shoulders So much bad though. Almost perfect. Is there any lingering. Little. It's actually very obviously not, more contrast. Was it more like a hit. Hit? It's pushing. Me forward that take this and go. Alright. No eye contact. You're welcome. No eye contact. As the magic of Seeker's spell sort of takes hold of all of you. You feel that sort of buoyancy to your steps. And as Ceallach half-hearted cure wounds on Seeker takes hold. You all sort of take stock, look around on this evening and slowly begin. Well quickly, I suppose begin to make your way out of the town of Sunploom leaving behind the ashes and bringing with you maybe something in the future for Ceallach Gray and his position within the temple of Fimir. And that is where we're going to go ahead and end tonight's session. Thank you so much Ethan, for all that you have done. We appreciate all of you. I'm very much looking forward to taking the next step in this journey with all of you. And of course thank you all and we'll see you next time. Goodbye nerds. Bye. Oh my. God. Alright. Hey Nerds. Thanks for listening. If you're wondering what just happened a few months ago, Ethan came to the rest of the team and let us know that unfortunately he was going to have to take a step back from recording the podcast. As our DM, we have a very rigorous recording schedule and there were other things in his life that needed to take priority. So right away we put our heads together, worked together with Ethan to develop a plan for his departure. We thought about maybe me or Russ taking over as DM, but we really did not want to have to retire any of the characters on the show. And we really felt like we needed to close out this story of these characters for you, the audience, and for each other for all the amazing tale we have left to tell. So we got together with our friend Seth, who's a DM we all know and trust, and Ethan and he have been working together to make he needs to carry this thing through. So without further ado, here is a little conversation. We recorded sort of Ethan's remarks for his last recording session and just a little bit of reminiscing about this point. Enjoy. Hey nerds, your DM, Ethan, no longer your DM Ethan transitioning. The last, what has it been three years? Two of those on the podcast have been just absolutely incredible. I've really had the time of my life being able to DM this table, but now I got to say as far as DMs go, we've really got one of the best coming in with Seth. Everything that Seth and I have done so far, at least I hope from my end has been stellar. Everything coming from you has been absolutely amazing. And so I am really excited to see this transition and see where it goes. I got to say, everyone at home, you are all in for an absolute treat because the style of DMing that this gentleman does and the generosity in his DMing as well as just the wealth of knowledge that you have about d d is something that far surpasses mind. So I have absolutely no doubts about the stellar work that you're going to be doing moving into the future. I will just as a little insight to what we've been working on, obviously there's a big lore dump that comes in with this and lots of back and forth and discussion of story and things like that. When I tell you that this man is a sponge for nerd information, It is incredible. And I'm saying all this as a reassurance because I know any sort of swap or change in a show, this can be as a viewer, a little bit scary, a little bit daunting. So I am just trying to be as reassuring as possible that we sat and the first time we sat down and spoke, I think we spoke for an hour and I think I monologued for an hour on everything just ranting. And at the end of it I said, man, I hope that wasn't too confusing for you. And there was a slight pause and then you said, so let me get this straight. So at the start of the campaign there was this, this, and this, and then there was all this, this and this. When I say word for word, there were names, there were locations, there was all this stuff. So it's really been an incredible process so far to be working with you. And that's another thing is that that is going to continue into the future. Even though I'm not going to be on screen, I'm not going to be on camera behind the microphone. I still hope to help with anything that comes up with you. So I'm not dying, I'm not permanently going away. I will still be around and hopefully helping as much as I can, but yeah, there's going to be a transition and you all are in and everyone at the table as well, incredible hands with Seth. So that's my little spiel you're going to do great. Freaking get misty over here. Geez. Man, you're going to do amazing. And there's really no doubt or apprehension in my mind just with our interactions. Again, I will say your generosity as a DM is one of the main things and I think each and every one of you will figure that out in your own way and your just investment into D&D has been incredible. Well, to just counterpoint that taking on something like this, it wouldn't be possible without all of the incredible work that you all have done, but anybody who's played D&D for long enough knows that the DM has kind of a special place and there's so much trust and to shepherd a story like this and to keep it going for as long as you have and to build such a wonderful table, a wonderful story, and of course a very dedicated audience and following that love these characters and that love the story that you were all telling is incredible and no small feat, and Ethan, just what you have. I mean it's very easy to pick up on things when they are incredibly well built and well thought out and the arcs and the story makes sense and your world is so visceral, so real already in my head and it's just amazing what you've done and I'm just honored to be trusted to take it and hopefully carry on what is becoming a very beautiful tradition already. So thank you from the bottom of my heart and thank you to all of you for trusting me and for you guys, hopefully I don't disappoint you too much. I mean as a player and as one of the original players, I mean I think I speak for myself, but I don't think I'm wrong to speak for Russell and Shane as well to say we built this with you and you brought us elbo and even before the cameras were turned on, even before the mics were turned on, we were play testing and having a great time together. And after almost four years, three, four years now, it's going to be sad to lose you every week, but I know that you're not going far and that I can't wait for the future of everything else that happens. And thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for helping us bring this to life. Yeah, I remember it was at my birthday party, I think you were over and we were chatting. I had shown you, yeah, it was your birthday, the recording studio that I had set up that was somewhat like this but slightly less, pretty, slightly less everything. It. Was a couple of. Microphones on the table and even then I was like, this is my greatest creation. And then sort of on your way out, I was like, I want to do a podcast. I know we've been playing D&D for a little while. I want to do a podcast. And I remember you jumping up and down. I remember just being like, yes, the energy that we both had toward it right away. I was so hype that we are going to get to work on this together and it has been such a wild ride and it is totally earth shattering to lose you. And like Rebecca said, I know it's not like you're dying, you're not going far, but I just hope that you feel the amount of, I don't know, reverence that we have for everything you've done, not just in building the world and letting us all inhabit it and explore it and create some of it ourselves. The license you've given us as creatives to build this world with you, but also in the way that you've been a partner on the podcast and our logo is so fricking great and you made it. You know what I mean? It's all of these ways in which you have these indelible marks on this show and I'm sure on our community and yeah, so just like thank you. Just thank you, that's all. Appreciate you Ethan. I feel like everyone's covered a lot of the things that I wanted to say, but I mean. It's worth repeating worth. Repeating. Say what you feel. Yeah, I mean it's been amazing having this game playing with you. I remember play testing this way back when. Oh my God. How many years ago is. That? At this point. You were playing chat. Well you weren't even Chaff yet at. You weren't Chaff. No, I don't even remember what I played, but I just remember the description and it just sounded so cool. And the potential that we've now been able to dip our toes into, especially with these last few episodes. It's just seeing what you've built and what you've been holding onto and now it's kind of coming up and it's just like, dude, it's been so amazing and it's going to be sad not having you sitting right here anymore. Yeah, I mean we've been through this since Covid and being on Zoom and all this stuff we had to deal with and the technical issues and you've been there and it's been an amazing DM for us and I'm a bummed that you're leaving number of. Times from an airport. It's. Just bizarre. Yeah, just yeah. There's been a couple of times where one of you has called me or whoever it was that's called me and I've been at work and my boss doesn't listen to this, so who cares? And I've been at work and so I've had to tell my boss, my mom's calling me, I step outside. And then I've gotten in trouble multiple times, especially because of you because when we go on calls, I take two hour lunch breaks. My bad. No, it's my fault. But it's like I step out and we're on a call for two hours and just talking about all these ideas and so it's like, yeah, it's just those random things that come up, but. It's like that passion that we're really grateful for because that's what we mainly want with this whole project. This whole show is just a passion and you had it in spades, you have it in spades. Being able to stick around with us and help us with transition is going to be great and. Everyone has to do what they have to do with their lives. And sometimes that means that you have phases and you go in and out of things and that is you got to move on. From things you got to when you love 'em and want 'em to succeed. And so I think the fact that you were able to stand up for what you needed from your life, and we all know this is a huge, any d d game is a huge commitment, whether it's recorded or not. We're kind of crazy. It's absurd what we we've done here. It's recorded or not an outrageous decision. People, people. Have games that are going for 30 years and they play every week. And there are people who have to have phases of those and we are so grateful to have been such a long phase in your life and we can't wait until you say, Hey, I'd love to do a one shot, or hey, let's play this thing or let's do this. And the door is wide open and it swings both ways and we're so grateful for you. Or maybe you to be a player too, who knows, maybe a PC arc of some kind. Yeah. I have not played D&D in probably six years. I've just DM'd how was it sitting over there for that moment, a stretch going to have. To fix that. I personally will never forget the first time you reached out on Discord and were like, hey, would you be willing to maybe come do this thing with these people? And I was like, I listened to every episode. Yes. God, I remember being so nervous because I was typing up that message and I'm like, I hope he says yes, I hope he says yes. I felt like I was in high school writing a love letter to my crush where I'm like, checkbox yes or no. And I'm like, oh my God, if he doesn't say yes, I'm going to be devastated. What am I going to. Do? It was like I got the love letter that I wasn't expecting and I was just like, absolutely. What do I have to do? Let's go. And then to get that initial mini arc and then you hit me up again. I had no expectations. I was just like, that was fun. That was awesome. Y'all are just, every day in here, I still feel like I'm a guest because this is just so fun. And that second time you hit me up, I'm just like, really? Me? I'm not even that good. At this. Get out. Of here. But you, man, I don't know. When we do our calls, I don't know if you can hear it, but it doesn't matter what's happening in my day. I'm so pumped to get to rap on the lore and bounce ideas off of you and you are very giving and you do let us create and be a part of this and you take our ideas and meld 'em with yours and it has been such an awesome experience. I will forever. This is this table, you, man, you've done something special. So thank you. Thank you. I've said this before, I don't know how much I could stand to say it again. You are the best DMM I've ever had, so I'm sorry. Thank you. It's fine. I love this table and I love what you've done with it and I'm always going to be thankful for coming in. We came in later and I feel like you gave so much care to those conversations and I've never had a DM take as good a care of a character as Thessally, so I'm sorry, I'm just going to miss you. I'm excited to have you, but I'm going to miss you then, so thank. You. Bittersweet. For sure. I have no doubt. I mean, just for both of you talk about a daunting task coming on to a podcast after, I mean, what was your first episode? Episode? Do. You remember where you? 63? Yeah. After. 63 Episodes of a show coming on, that still amazes me to be able to pick it up and then core cast. Absolutely. Oh, right out of the gate. Right. Out of the gate. Yeah. It was one of those things when both of you came on, I remember we all had discussions about it of you guys came on and it was after the first episode or it was the first two episodes or something and we were like, okay, yeah, this is it. Yeah, we're. Good. Yeah, I remember feeling like some apprehension. I hope it all feels like fine. And then it was like, it feels better than fine. It's like we were missing this all along. You guys fulfilled essential spots. Immediate. Agents. We had been like, oh, let's add a person. And we're like, okay, well, and then it got down to it and we were like, we want to. The, they're both so good. We can't not take both. Yeah, we want both of them. But you made that transition so easy. I'll never forget sending you the backstory and waiting And you messaged me and you were like, I love it. And I was giggling to myself. I was like, oh, the DM loves my backstory. I did such a good. Job. I think on the backstory that you sent, I think I changed one word and that was just the name of a place and that was about it. We filled some things out, but yeah, you didn't do much changing and that was a lovely phone call. It was so nice. Killer. Backstory. I was. Going to say, that's a damn good backstory. I'm so curious, curious. I can't wait to learn more. But truly, truly thank you for the care and passion and joy you have brought to us and all of them. For sure. Yeah. Well, I will say thank you to everyone. It has been an amazing three years. I mean an absolute chapter of my life and something that I'll never forget something. And that luckily is a format that I can go back and listen to time and time again. Lovely enough, it's not going anywhere. I mean, one of the things that I'm really looking forward to and I'm excited to do, is to be a listener to this story now, to not know, can even imagine what the twists and turns that are going to take. Obviously we're still going to have some contact, so we'll be able to brainstorm and stuff. Oh, I'm going to bump you all the time. I hope so. You guys think you bug Ethan. I'm like, Hey, I slacked you. But I mean even listening, because I'm not going to be here in person. So as all DMs know, you can prep and you can prep and you can prep, but then as soon as it's going to change, yeah, it's going to change. Plan survives first contact with the players wreck. So being able to be a listener again, I'm really looking forward to. And then just really grateful that I can again, look back and listen to the story again and yeah, be a listener. So I'm really much looking forward to that. So I will for one last time say that is where we're going to call it. Thank you all so much for listening and we can't wait to see all again next week Bys. Bye. And. Bye Ethan. Bye. Ethan.
