SPEAKER_05Good evening. I'm Philippa. Ilya.
SPEAKER_08Ramsey, and I'm your DM Seth. Welcome to Venture 4.
SPEAKER_13Gather around you, gentles. I've another tale to tell of woe-begotten heroes and repentant duels. Of villains and their scheming and the fools that heed the call. Sweet melodies to ensure that they venture.
SPEAKER_08When last we left our heroes. A carriage rolled onto the cobbled steps of the governor's manse within Highstone, and though the figures that emerged were familiar to us, the look and feel of them was altogether different. Draped in beautiful fabrics, sourced from the finest clothiers in Blackrock, Ramsay, Vale, Shaw, and Phil, and Ilya passed under the watchful eyes of the Dormen stationed at the front of the manor, and entered into the grounds of what passes for the seat of power here in BlackRock. Amongst the nobility, you found, or what passes for nobility here in BlackRock, you found many things. Rumors, half-truths, interesting conversations, strangers from far afield intermixed with familiar figures, and any number of oddities interspersed throughout the crowd. You partook in the distractions available to you, had conversations with friends and strangers, and as we return to the grounds of the governor's mansion, we come upon Elia Roche.
unknownMe.
SPEAKER_08Who is amidst the ballgowns and press suits, I imagine in search of someone she'd like to speak with.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'd love to. It's more of a need rather than a like. Uh okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_08Okay. So as you as you kind of mingle amongst the crowd and maybe have a drink to loosen up the nerves. Quick back. You who is it that you are looking for?
SPEAKER_01I'm looking for um oh what's his name? Vincent Hughes and on his arm.
SPEAKER_00This one. Okay.
SPEAKER_01There we go.
SPEAKER_00Forger.
SPEAKER_01This is forger.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_08Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_06The red dress.
SPEAKER_08You as you uh look around for uh for these people, um you see that a um you see over like gather together, you see a trio of figures. All three of them actually familiar to you. You see Vincent Hughes upon his arm, Thistle, and across from them, someone who you haven't seen up until this point. You see Tacket, Jawar. Um he is in an in very pointedly, Tacket is the only person here who is not dressed in finery. He is like he's in his the same clothes you see him in every time. He's in his like thornwatch leathers, his green cloak, which has like kind of a little bit of mud spattered around the bottom of it. Um and you see he's talking to Vincent. Um, and he's asking him, like as you approach, you kind of catch the tail end of the conversation. So nothing at any of your camps, is that correct? And Vincent says, You see this kind of you this very bassy, gravelly, long drawl. He says, Nothing at any man, no. Taggett says, Well, um, they've affected some of the other camps, whatever this is, so be sure to let me know uh if anyone should fall afoul of whatever it is that's out there. And you hear um Vincent he nods, he says, I'll be sure to let you know. But as I said, nothing's affected my camp so far. Although, probably just a matter of time. And uh, you see, Tackett kinda Yeah. Matter of time. And uh you see as Tacket kind of a look of like consternation on his face. Why he uh kind of nods at them both and turns to go as you arrive. He's like, it looks like the conversation's kind of wrapping up as you arrive. Ilia, hi, how you doing?
SPEAKER_01Hi, Vincent. Handsome as ever, love the pipe.
SPEAKER_08And beautiful and radiant upon his arm. You see, this hole. She's wearing uh absolutely gorgeous, like what's the word? Like, not quite red, not quite pink, kind of in between. Um, a beautiful gown that is uh has like gold and silver embroidery kind of across. Um, it's one of those uh that where it's on one shoulder and goes down across the way.
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_08And uh it's sort of gathered together. You see this beautiful sprig of flowers, all kinds of spring flowers that are all gathered together up on the top. Um, in the fashion of first sprouting, and she smiles radiantly at you.
SPEAKER_01Lovely as always.
SPEAKER_08Wonderful to see you.
SPEAKER_01Um, I actually, and I'm I turn to um Mr. Vincent Hughes. Can I borrow your date for a quick second?
SPEAKER_08He you see, he's kind of puffs on his pipe, blows a cloud of smoke. I don't see why not.
SPEAKER_11Thistle.
SPEAKER_08And he and he this is a towering man. He's a very, very tall guy. Um and Tackett are about on the same level, both probably about six foot four, six foot five, somewhere in that range. And um, yeah, he he turns down to her, and Thistle kind of looks at you, and you see just the faintest like flicker of movement in the jaw as she smiles. Of course. Um Thank you, Vincent. And she detaches herself from his arm and leads away.
SPEAKER_01I lead the way away from them, and I'm just like, you guys can chat amongst yourselves. We're just gonna get a drink real quick and lead her towards the inside of the house. And as we're walking, I'm like, Well, you've been here before, haven't you? Is there a place that we can go where prying ears won't hear us?
SPEAKER_08Yes, I've been here before, Ilya. And you see it's like the pretense of her character kind of drops a little bit. Yeah. Um there's a um well, um, yeah. Come on. And she sort of leads you around the corner and into um into the the sitting room area. You see that there are like couches and lounge chairs, and you see that there are certain people in here, but most of them, the people in here, appear to be um significantly older. They're like the the old generation that is like doesn't really want to be like up and about. And you see that there is a raised dais in sort of one corner upon which is a um a piano, like that's sort of all laid out, kind of on a slight raised platform, um, not fully a stage, but just like up in the corner, and there's no one near it right now. As she kind of walks you into the corner and she says, they won't appear. Um, they can't.
SPEAKER_06And they can't.
SPEAKER_08And yeah, as you look around, yeah, you see like it is mostly old people in here, or it's like a place of uh transit from inside to out. And you can see that there are doors thrown open, big ballroom with lots of people in it. Um, but yeah, that's that's kind of what you see.
unknownDamn.
SPEAKER_01Okay. I was like, you know, wondering if there was a room in which I could use my skills to break into for more privacy, but this would be fine.
SPEAKER_08Do you I mean, are you you can ask her?
SPEAKER_06I mean, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_01That's kind of I was like, uh, if I can as we're walking through, imply like, you know, a locked door isn't a problem for me, right?
SPEAKER_08And she just sighs, and you see as she leads you back the way you came, and instead of turning right to go out of the door um and into the backyard, she turns left and goes back into the sort of foyer and starts to make her way towards the the door um that is outside um that leads to the front. And she walks sort of straight out of the foyer and she kind of turns up, and you see as she looks up top, she doesn't see anything. Um and yeah, you notice there's actually nobody up there. And as you walk over, she goes over to a door and she kind of like cocks her head. She says, um, that's weird. As you see that there is a door that is like the the lock of it is broken. Um there is like uh uh yeah, I mean basically it looks like the the wood is like crap.
SPEAKER_01Weird, weird.
SPEAKER_08And she she walks into this room um and you see a library. Um that is uh you see a library that is spread around you, and she she kind of turns like the door won't lock, but and she pushes it closed, and um you see that again there's there's nobody that it was like in the foyer. So weird. Watch her. She turns and she's like she sits down in like a chair, and you see she kind of like lets some of the weight drop off of her as she like throws her legs over the over the arm and relaxes. She's like, ah, did she just kill my feet?
SPEAKER_01Well, you look beautiful.
SPEAKER_09Thank you. So do you.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, it's my first time here. You've always told me stories about how fun these parties can be.
SPEAKER_08They can be very fun. There's always um entertainment.
SPEAKER_01Um It's been hard to get a hold of you. I wanted to chat after the claim, but you seemed engaged.
SPEAKER_08She stands up and she comes over, um, closes the distance with you, and thank you for bringing him back.
SPEAKER_10Making sure he got back.
SPEAKER_08Of course. She likes you can see she wants to give you a hug or something. She stops.
SPEAKER_01I've been I've been wanting to talk. I've tried writing you letters. Never seemed like a good time to give them to you. Um but uh yes, now's a good chance as any. I needed to say a couple things. And I did have a quick question to ask you. Um but first I wanted to let you know. In a really odd turn of events, I might be leaving BlackRock.
SPEAKER_09And her face a look of confusion comes over her face. Why?
SPEAKER_08You you were pretty adamant about not leaving, she says with a little bit of venom in it.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, I yeah.
SPEAKER_09Um the So why the change of heart?
SPEAKER_01The job that we did to save Dom. We found something there.
SPEAKER_09I heard. What did you Yeah.
SPEAKER_01The um Dom told me a little bit about it, but there's seems to be something there, a magic, that I think is gonna give me a lot of answers about my dad and what's been going on with him. I might be able to find something to help cure whatever he has.
SPEAKER_08I'm confused. You found something in the mind that you think might help him. And you think that means you need to leave?
SPEAKER_01It's a place in the mind. I it had some magical properties and capabilities, and I think there are others.
SPEAKER_05And why I'm putting doing doing doing doing doing do it again.
SPEAKER_01I can't really tell you that. But I think whatever it is really dangerous and powerful, but I don't think it's here. Whatever was in that room was stolen. And if I can find out more about what made that room, the magics behind it, I think I can find more answers. But regardless, I I also wanted to apologize.
SPEAKER_10I have questions, but okay.
SPEAKER_01Yeah. Right? Um I'm sorry for how I behaved, treated you at the end of our relationship. You kept telling me how you wanted to leave and wanted to build a life outside of BlackRock, and I was so obsessed with saving my dad and taking over the business, and I didn't actually listen to you. And more and more things have been happening after we broke up in this last year that have really made me realize kind of what an idiot I've been. I'm It's been so tough. And I've missed you like crazy. And the place that I loved and called home feels so empty. But full of just you. I don't have a single memory of this place without you in it. You're my best friend. And everywhere I look, I just see you and us, and what we were and what we had. And I'm so sorry. The only time I'm ever truly happy nowadays is when I'm actually outside the Palisades in the woods. Where I don't have any real memories of us together. So yeah, I I know I said I would never leave Black Rock, but Black Rock's not really the thing that I loved. It was the place that we built. That I loved. I wanted to tell you some of our my secrets. I lied to you during our breakup. Saying that saving my dad was the only reason I wanted to stay. Not entirely true. Um his illness? I don't really know what it is, but it's genetic. But it's rare. So rare. His great-grandfather had it, and like great-great-great aunt, and their like great-grandparent or something. Usually you only hear stories about what's affecting us. Episodes of nosebleeds, headaches, ringing, light sensitivity. Um you were there when I had you. My first episode. It usually only affects us when we're older, even about 10, 20 years off your life. But um with my dad, it's been more aggressive, and that's why I've been so worried. I've been kind of concerned because he doesn't know why it's accelerating so fast either.
SPEAKER_04And um.
SPEAKER_00I've been getting more episodes to do.
SPEAKER_10She closes the distance between you guys. And pulls you under a hug.
SPEAKER_01I'm so scared. I'm I don't know why, but I think it's actually affecting me at a faster rate than him. I I don't know how to tell anyone.
SPEAKER_00I can't tell anyone.
SPEAKER_10You're telling me.
SPEAKER_01Because um if I leave, I might not come come back.
SPEAKER_10Why?
SPEAKER_01It's a sickness that kills you in a pretty painful way. And if it's accelerating in me at the rate I'm not supposed to get it until I'm like a hundred. And I'm 22. I shouldn't be having any symptoms at all. I don't know how long I have left, and I didn't want to start a life with you. If it wasn't be a life, if it was just gonna be another year or two, and I I thought I could find a cure or something with my mom and it doesn't look like it, but maybe this thing we found in these stupid caves and the mines. Oh god, my makeup, I look so hot.
SPEAKER_08She reaches out by hand and cups your cheek very delicately with a very well manicured nail scrapes away the tear.
SPEAKER_10You think it's getting you faster? Why?
SPEAKER_01I've had more episodes than my dad over the last ten years. He and I got it ten years ago.
SPEAKER_10Got it.
SPEAKER_01The episode. Remember when Elbor became part of the Greater Verestra? And we were together. You might not remember it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I Yeah. I remember.
SPEAKER_01That was with all the blood was my first. My dad got it too, but then last year, right before we ended things, um I got another one. He didn't. And then a couple days ago, after we got back on the claim, I had another one.
SPEAKER_09And it's never happened so quickly like this before, and if the cure for whatever it is that is hurting you isn't here, then we go find it.
SPEAKER_08Um You think I'm gonna spend the last five years trying to convince you to leave this place, and then the second you decide to change your fucking mind that you're just gonna leave without me?
SPEAKER_01Ugh, it's gonna be really dangerous, and BlackRock is really dangerous.
SPEAKER_08You and Don both have almost died in the last two weeks. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_10Twice, at least.
SPEAKER_01I think that cave did something to me.
SPEAKER_09What do you mean?
SPEAKER_01It made me stronger.
SPEAKER_09I don't stronger how.
SPEAKER_01My magic's always been weird, but now it's just it's so easy to access. I feel it's like something in my brain changed while I was in there.
SPEAKER_09If you and your dad are sick and the cure is out there, I don't want to get out of that shithole for years. You know that better than anybody.
SPEAKER_01I don't really want you to risk your life on this long shot of a half-assed idea that might not even be real or true. Like, I wouldn't be able to live with myself. You got hurt. Help me.
SPEAKER_10And I can get hurt at any time. Doing what I do? Living in this town.
SPEAKER_08Anyone can get hurt at any time, Elia. Even you don't get to decide what I think is worth it.
SPEAKER_00I didn't know if you said one after this year.
SPEAKER_10And she grabs your face in her hand and pulls you in for very gentle. Rush across your lips.
SPEAKER_01Take her hand. Hold on to my other to her chest. And if she's wearing that cross, you would you would see the tattoo that she has of like delicate flowers and vines that could go into like a sun. And then uh on my left side with all my tattoos with all the different plants, one of them is a thistle that you can see kind of poking out um above my heart. Dying kind of everything into perspective a little bit.
SPEAKER_10Dying?
SPEAKER_01I mean Well, if I don't find a cure, I don't think I'm much long for this world.
SPEAKER_10Well, then we'll just find a fucking cure.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that was my idea.
SPEAKER_10I'm really glad you decided to stop being an idiot.
SPEAKER_01Well, I'm smarter than Dom, so you know.
SPEAKER_10Everybody's smarter than Dom.
SPEAKER_01Bar is really low.
SPEAKER_08At which point you actually hear like raised voices and shouting. And you hear it coming from the door. You hear it coming from the door. And you well, what do you do? You hear shouting and raised voices that are coming from like not too far away.
SPEAKER_01Oh my god.
SPEAKER_08I just kind of And one of them is Dom's voice.
SPEAKER_01Hold her hand and go, Well, come on, my small sharp flower.
SPEAKER_09And she smiles and grabs your hand and walks with you.
SPEAKER_01Let's see what this fun is about.
SPEAKER_08As you open the door.
SPEAKER_06That was so cool.
SPEAKER_08As you open the door.
SPEAKER_06No, how did the rolling numbers work out? How did they roll out? How did the moment last? And there was like, oh, you didn't learn. Yeah, exactly. Oh my god.
SPEAKER_03It worked out perfectly.
SPEAKER_08The um as you take, is the two of you exit and you kind of like peek out of the door, you see Dom and Tackett both like booking, and they're both running like as fast as they can towards the front door, and like down the road, also moving incredibly fast. You see short dark hair and a green dress like fleeing down the road.
SPEAKER_06Uh, how far away?
SPEAKER_08Oh, she's like 300 feet away from you. Yeah, so no, tack it and Dom like book out the front door. They're like at the front steps. And that the the you see like her. You see this woman that as far as you can tell from this distance, um short short. You see, yeah, very short black hair, and she like and she is moving so fast.
SPEAKER_01And I go, oh, I sh I may have fucked that up a little bit.
SPEAKER_08And like and tack it, and Dom is and like Dom is dumb, but that boy can move. So even with them using, like you see, they are aided by magic, like they are effectively under the effects of long strider, and they are trying to catch up to this woman, and they can't. Like she outpaces them, and then you just see the last thing you see is her like vanish over the over the horizon, like around the bend and and into high stone somewhere.
SPEAKER_00Well, let's get a drink.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Shh, God. It's not like I can do anything about that.
SPEAKER_08As you see, Dom and Tacket fling out into the night, basically. It's it's at this point now, it is late evening. The sun is like in the last stretch of of setting. Um, as she looks at you and that sounds nice. And she puts her arm in yours and you guys walk out into the back of the grounds.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_08Where we cut over to uh gosh, Phil, you are like up on the are you still kind of where you were, or are you have you migrated? Um, where are the rest of you guys?
SPEAKER_05I'm milling about the garden.
SPEAKER_08Okay, cool, cool.
SPEAKER_13Um, I guess I'm getting ready to play.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, because of the stage.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Okay. Heck yeah. And I've at this point just taking a tray.
SPEAKER_03Yes. Yes.
SPEAKER_02And I'm eagerly awaiting you playing. Yes. Okay.
SPEAKER_06I want to like princess this all the veil um point amount.
SPEAKER_08You see, is like a lot of the gu, actually, well, you guys all to give you context, you guys all also heard like the raised voices and the shouting. Um, it was it's more distant for you guys because they were like right across the hall from the ballroom.
SPEAKER_07Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Um, whereas you guys um are like way out in the back. But you can see that other people have definitively heard. There's people are like looking up, like, what's going on? Like you hear the whispers and mutterings of people like trying to figure out what's happening as you two exit from the uh from the space, and a sh very short time later, you hear like heavy footfalls that are moving fast. Um, what do you like?
SPEAKER_01Do you I turn around quick?
SPEAKER_08You see moving quickly, not like running, but moving fast. Um, you see Dargo, the green dragon-born um man with the greatsword, as he like kind of comes out onto the back of the patio, and you see as he like addresses kind of just like his voice raises, he says, Nothing to be worried about, folks. Everything is just fine.
SPEAKER_03Well, of course, you here.
SPEAKER_08Enjoy the evening's entertainment. And he has like a very like raspy, gravelly voice as he turns and walks back inside. He just like addresses the crowd, he says, Nothing to be concerned about. And he he goes back inside to the ballroom.
SPEAKER_01I feel like they only have to say that when there's something to be concerned about, no?
SPEAKER_09I mean, this is a new one. It's not easy to gate crash a high stone party.
SPEAKER_01Wow, these parties aren't so lively then. What do you think she did? I think she took something. You think so? Yeah. Took something that the governor took. Oh, wait, what?
SPEAKER_08Yeah. How do you know that?
SPEAKER_01I know things.
SPEAKER_08Oh, shut up. Liar. And she like slots you, like swats you on the arm playfully, and she literally does not believe you what you just said. Yeah. Um, but um you as you exit, as like you come down the stairs, um, you get a lay of the land, and you see Ramsey, who is alighting onto the stage. You see Vale front row, uh uh tray in hand, just munching. Where are you two?
SPEAKER_02Everybody, pay attention.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I'll I'll slide slide up next to Vale.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, I'll find another area that's a little closer to get a better view of the show. Cool. All right.
SPEAKER_05I'll go to sneak a little bite from.
SPEAKER_11Sweet.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_05All right. Easy.
SPEAKER_01Sorry. Yeah. I'll give you some room.
SPEAKER_05No, no, please. Seems like you're far hungrier than I.
SPEAKER_01It's good.
SPEAKER_05I believe you. Of course it was. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Yeah.
SPEAKER_07As as everybody kind of.
SPEAKER_08We're waiting. You see a number of at this point again, like the evening is coming to a or the afternoon is coming to a close. We are well into evening. You can see that there are streamers of um what appear to be um small, actually enchanted, um, like twinkling lights that are strung up kind of around the grounds between the bushes and the trees. Um, you can see like flickering torchlight and things like that, uh, making for a very sort of uh um intimate atmosphere back here in the um and the air smells of flowers and and spring.
SPEAKER_05Hey for us, music man.
SPEAKER_08And as as Ramsey kind of alights the stage, you see as the people begin to gather.
SPEAKER_03Woo! Woo!
SPEAKER_13Hello! Uh I'm Ramsay the Friend. Um if you have heard of me, which some of you probably have, uh it might be it might be from this song, um, which garnered me no small amount of fame in All God in recent history, uh, which is a tale of some great heroes you uh may recognize in the shadowed wood.
SPEAKER_12She wolves out with her and fledgling heroes I wolf and threats their fates for tie a cleric twixt two gods A sentinel post A thief with stolen doubts A child born of Damax Pride The Pass Let them pray Andwe's a word So listen ye people when me from Buster not he's French They are the case fire is blown out and pedals like quells two false prophets fell is so they spare from threats within They put the war to rest and found the reach found west Whether they stood on impressed At hell for his final Calvary Aspire Cut through Primordia Sky And boss will not revive In the Reapling tonight So listen ye people when evil Fresh and for you know Sag is from it number stone when the gods do not hear your breath coming out you brought this Thank you kind of you see us the applause of the raptuous applause to uh greet the uh the uh the performance by our resident friend Ramsey.
SPEAKER_08Um fuck that was awesome. That's so cool. Just do keep going. Just do this in the episode.
SPEAKER_06Did you guys like do some stuff with some the rest of the episode?
SPEAKER_08Um oh man, as as you kind of walk down from the uh from the stage, your your song having been played, the sort of final notes of it ringing out. Um and those notes like persist. For you. Fuck.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, baby.
SPEAKER_08Like the last string that rings out, that sort of fading harm har like that fading tone.
SPEAKER_05What was it changing?
SPEAKER_08As it goes out into the night. And it begins to like rise and pitch. Oh. This sort of caning, warbling sound that begins to like pierce into your mind. And Ilya, you are here on the lawn, but you feel something turn towards you. Attention, pressure. And there is no malice, there is no kindness to it. It is like you're being seen by something. The tone in your in your ears rises, as the rest of you also begin to hear it, this high-pitched, caning, vibrant noise. And it begins to come into your ears and pierce as you hear this series of pop, pop, pop, and then this detonation, as the glass on the top second floor of the governor's mansion blows outward, showering the attended crowd underneath, as you see this series of bright blinding flashes, as mist begins to coil around your ankles and into the ground, and screams start to rise into the night as new forms come up out of the mist and begin to lay about them in a frenzy. We're gonna go to break.

SPEAKER_05Hey. Hey you. Are you watching on Twitch right now? If so, do you have an Amazon Prime account? Are you using your Twitch Prime subscription? If you have an Amazon Prime, you also have this. Or maybe you just don't know how to use it. Maybe you're a computer illiterate like me. That's fine. Here's how you do it.
SPEAKER_13Twitch subscribers get access to exclusive channels in our little Discord, as well as emotes in our chat.
SPEAKER_05So if you have a free Prime membership, you may as well use it.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, that's great, Rebecca, but what if they're watching on YouTube? Hi, YouTube nerds. First off, we love YouTube. Secondly, have you checked out YouTube membership yet? YouTube members get access to all episode VODs after stream day, so you're never waiting around. Plus, you get access to behind the scenes videos, like our campaign 2 session 0, where we follow the party earlier in the day before they arrive at fight night in episode 1. Pretty freaking cool, right? And if you're in the stream, you get access to cool venture forth emojis exclusive to you, which is also pretty freaking cool. Don't you think? Scan this QR code here or here or Shane, where'd you put it? Not on my face, right? Don't put it on my face. Or check out the link in the description below if you're interested. We really appreciate every single one of you. Enjoy the rest of the short rest. Bye, nerds. Come on, bring us in so we can roll initiative. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Look, then we don't die, and it's great.
SPEAKER_08We're back. We're back as we return. Um, you guys see again mist, the glass shatters outward. And the last thing you see before these creatures like begin to set upon you guys and begin to like come out of these mists, and you see is one of the very odd-looking creatures. They have these clacking noise that they make. There are some that are small and like white skinned with like rents in their skin. No! These two big heads with wide open gaping mouths and like strange, almost bone-like protrusions that come out from the skulls. What? Their faces are almost caught in this like rictish smile. And there are two other forms that come near you guys. Oh. One larger than the other, but they are like this strange blue-purplish skin. One has five arms, the other has three, the smaller one. And veil.
SPEAKER_09I've seen these creatures before.
SPEAKER_08And as you guys begin to get a lay of the land, you look up, and on the balcony of the middle of the thing, you see five individuals.
SPEAKER_07Four.
SPEAKER_08Four, excuse me. You see four individuals. You see a gnome, you see a Goliath, you see a dragonborn, and you see the goblin. That are all just like and then they scream and then they go back to one of the day. Um I'm gonna need everybody to roll initiative for the shit.
SPEAKER_06Oh, it's so bad.
SPEAKER_13Wait, hang on. That's kind of on the line, right?
SPEAKER_02It's kind of argue with it.
unknownSomething like that.
SPEAKER_08Alright, so if you guys would turn your attention towards the monotons, you wouldn't have to be a little bit more. There's a bunch of things.
SPEAKER_06I think we were spread out. I don't think there were smiles that they had.
SPEAKER_08You guys are listening to a concert. You guys were totally spread out.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, we totally were. Can we use the other patrons as as shoes? I don't like how far apart they are. I think they should be clumped up.
SPEAKER_11Oh, I'm sure they'll clump up on us pretty soon.
SPEAKER_08Oh, wait for that. Yes, yes, yes. Well, we're gonna get into initiative order, but I need some initiative, so 20 and above. 21. 21 for the biggest. Alright. 21 for Phil. 15 to 20. Uh, 17. 17 for sure.
SPEAKER_06Nicely done.
SPEAKER_08Excellent. 10 to 15.
SPEAKER_0613. Here you go. Solid middle.
SPEAKER_08Middle child.
SPEAKER_13Uh 5 to 10. I was supposed to be involved beyond this one. Uh I think I'm at an eight. Let me double check it. Uh five. Five for Vale. Okay.
SPEAKER_05I know what that's. No, actually, that's helpful. It's good to have a healer at home and bottom.
SPEAKER_08Eight. Alright, game. Uh, everybody's in initiative order. It is a long initiative order, but we are gonna help you figure it out.
SPEAKER_06Okay.
SPEAKER_13That's a nine on initiative. Nine. Oh my god. That's a nine. Better than an A.
SPEAKER_05That's a nice initiative bonus.
SPEAKER_08Oh yeah. That's why I'm like.
SPEAKER_05Come on.
SPEAKER_08Well, top of initiative as these creatures come out of the ground, glass explodes, screams begin to rise, people in attendance. Um there are people around you. Um, so it's not packed enough out here to count as like difficult terrain, but you guys, there are like people that are running around. I just cannot manage that many humans. Yeah, of course. So um just but to put you in the scene, um, there are uh, you know, and Ophelia like tries to hike up her skirt and moves at a snail's pace to try to get away. And you see that um, I mean, yeah, that these things begin to like rake out with claws to catch passerby and super gross. Um, and it is rather uncomfortable. So, top of initiative, Phil, you are up.
SPEAKER_05Are the baddies just those four smiling terrifying faces? Or what's the thing in front of us? Yeah, those things.
SPEAKER_08So that and that are the like multi-armed bigger creatures. Got it. And then these little guys are they're smaller and like much uh they're I think literally small. Um, they're more like close to the ground and they look very different. Those are the ones that have like the weird like lacerations and then the little bony protrusions and the weird, like big grinning mouths. And then the uh the larger creatures have like multiple arms that end in very long curved claws. They also have, which I forgot to mention, like additional little um insect bug like limbs that like protrude from the bathroom and like kind of like are like clawing and reaching out along with their long gangly arms.
SPEAKER_06Um, question. Yes from stage left and stage right, the two guys in front of us, which one is the five-arm big, big big, and which one is the tinier one?
SPEAKER_08So this one is the one neck right next to this table is the big one. Cool. Yeah, it kind of like looms up above you guys, like very close by. Right. As it comes out of the mist. Um, Phil, it is your turn though, and you see you see one big one that's not very far away, ten feet away from you, actually. Um, the other one that's a little further away, and then all these little ones that are running around. Tables are overturned, people are screaming and shouting. It's a mess.
SPEAKER_06I can die happy.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah, yeah. Um, I am going to first move. Um I think the house is straightforward.
SPEAKER_08Yep, straight down here.
SPEAKER_05If you can see my go through them. Yeah. Um I'm yep, perfect. I'm gonna move 30 feet in that direction.
SPEAKER_08Okay, five. I've kind of put myself everything gets you to like right there.
SPEAKER_05Right. Um gonna take aim and shoot at the one to my right.
SPEAKER_01Cool. Okay, that's cocked. What should I do? What should I do?
SPEAKER_06No, you got this. No, you do. This was just a pretend. That was a that was that was a warm up. That's a warm up in the first round for a uh seven to hit.
SPEAKER_08Okay. Seven to hit, yeah, crit fill. So you're shooting for this one, the the many armed guy, the bigger one? Okay, cool. Um Phil, I need you to roll a percentile die for me.
unknownYeah. No.
SPEAKER_05I'm standing in in front of this one.
SPEAKER_08No, because of the gun can Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Um ten uh sixteen.
SPEAKER_08Sixteen? Okay. Um your gun does not jam, and your bullet grazes through and doesn't hit anybody, and you it it like you see a burst of wood from the back of the tree as with a crit fail with your particular weapon, there's always a chance.
SPEAKER_05Um but that my gun can jam or that it can get me.
SPEAKER_08Or that you can a stray bullet can hit somebody. Um ricochet off of something. Yeah. All of that. So unfortunately, it like you see like a tree sort of in the back um kind of flare with uh with the force um as the uh the the round carries off into the night. Um anything with your bonus action?
SPEAKER_05Yes, bonus action. Um I'm going to um engage my um raven. And I'm going to activate her. And I'm gonna use my bonus action to command her to also move towards that same one.
SPEAKER_09Okay.
SPEAKER_05And actually, I'm gonna keep her near me and do a ranged attack.
SPEAKER_09Cool.
SPEAKER_08Okay.
SPEAKER_05Um, yeah, ranged attack.
SPEAKER_08Cool. Alright, and so is she gonna be to your to your left or your right? Where do you wanna?
SPEAKER_05Uh sharp, that's fine.
SPEAKER_08Perfect.
SPEAKER_05That's gonna hit, uh, I believe. That's an 18.
SPEAKER_0818. As the sort of warbling just disturbance in the air, right, of your creature moves through, you see as it makes contact. Go ahead and roll damage.
SPEAKER_05Six.
SPEAKER_08Six points of damage. Alright. Who got this? Um yeah, the the sort of disturbance in the air moves through, and you see as it takes the brunt of the damage, and it was six points?
SPEAKER_05Uh, it's six points of force points. Points of force damage.
SPEAKER_08Okay. Awesome. Um, yeah, you see as it impacts the creature and definitely affects it as like and it kind of moves backwards in a way and turns towards you um as you yeah, you poke it. Um that's and that's action bonus action?
SPEAKER_05That's action bonus action and movement.
SPEAKER_08Next up, it's that creature's turn. Oh shit. It immediately lopes towards you. Oh, dude. And it is going to this is the smaller one of the two, but you see as it moves towards you and the arms that it has, uh, you see as two of its its uh clawed appendages reach out and attempt to strike you. First is going to be an 11 to hit.
SPEAKER_05No miss.
SPEAKER_08Alright, and the second claw swipe is a 12 to hit.
SPEAKER_05Miss.
SPEAKER_08Awesome. So these two claws like you feel the air come off of them. Oh god. Yikes! They come off. No, thank you. You do not uh you they miss. Uh it misses its attack. The next that ends its turn, it can't do anything else. Okay. That brings us to the big one. Oh no. That's a big one? No.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, the one on the left.
SPEAKER_08Move forward to here.
SPEAKER_06No, fuck god, shit. Not that shit.
SPEAKER_13Not like that, not right there.
SPEAKER_06Uh uh.
SPEAKER_11Oh no, is it gonna do some kind of AoE thing?
SPEAKER_06Sure, yeah.
SPEAKER_11He doesn't have one of those. Probably not.
SPEAKER_06He has five arms, guys. Oh, used to hog. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08As this creature like lumbers forward, you see as its multiple arms just begin to rake out. It's gonna use flurry of claws.
SPEAKER_03Sounds about right. It's gonna mean.
SPEAKER_08Uh one, two, three.
SPEAKER_11It's a hedge hedge monk.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_08Uh Vale, pick a number between one and twenty. Seven. Pick a number between one and twenty.
SPEAKER_13Two.
SPEAKER_08Pick a number between one and twenty. Ramsey.
SPEAKER_13Oh, sorry. Um, why? Um to determine what it goes after.
SPEAKER_08But I'm after. I'm on the one stage. Oh shit. That's sharp. I was like, why would it go for me? I don't know what kind of shit is gonna go. I totally got your snack.
SPEAKER_06What did you say?
SPEAKER_08Seven.
SPEAKER_06I said two.
SPEAKER_08Eighteen. Going after you. Shit! Okay, so well, it's going after everybody, so but two are coming after you. Okay. So uh it is going to be a series of attacks. So first uh first claw attack on you, Shaw. Eight. Eight to hit to eight to hit. Veil, sixteen to hit.
SPEAKER_02Um, I'm gonna, as it's as it's coming for me, I'm gonna throw my hands up. Zigh! Zigh! And I'm gonna cash shield. Okay.
SPEAKER_08He is the the claws of this creature. And this is a scene that unfortunately is not unfamiliar to you. As you see the same creature in the same way, the claws rake across your shield. And saves you a second time. So you see as the claws rake against it, that is its attack against Vale, it's gonna go for Elia. Nine to hit.
SPEAKER_05Nice!
SPEAKER_08Final attack against Shaw. Hang on, let me make sure.
SPEAKER_05Rolling like that. No, don't make sure that's it.
SPEAKER_08I gotta make sure that it's that it's all because I messed with these. Yep, terrible roll. And final attack, 19 to hit. Oh shit, man. Alright. Alright. As the claw reaches out, you take 10 points of slashing damage. Rolls maximum damage. So you see as it as it swipes towards you and its claws rend through your your nice suit uh and into your ribs. Um comes out from kind of like you almost didn't see it because it was behind and it like rakes up into your into your abdomen.
SPEAKER_13Oh shit.
SPEAKER_08That is going to end its turn. Shaw it's your turn, and then uh followed by this and Ilya.
SPEAKER_06My dress is so expensive. It's so pretty. Not the dress.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, as um as this claw rakes open my clothing and like rips open my jacket, you see the bandolier kind of becomes more readily available, and I will uh quickly grab a vial from the satchel, pour it on one of the daggers, flip it, and pull my shorts with out and be like Alright, let's fucking go then. And I'll come in with an attack. Alright, on this guy. Oh, big guy in front of you. Cool. Yes. Kill him! And we are we don't do uh flanking, right?
SPEAKER_09Okay. Oh, there's too many ways for you guys to get advantageous.
SPEAKER_11Yeah. Do you do it? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, there we go. That is a 23 with a short sword.
SPEAKER_05Nice.
SPEAKER_11Sorry. You're good. That face maybe thought like I didn't hit him with a million dollars. We need a round.
SPEAKER_13We right now. Unfortunately people that are.
SPEAKER_11We are just Octavia.
SPEAKER_08It's Ophelia. Yeah. Ophelia, you got it, right? Yeah, you got it.
unknownOh no.
SPEAKER_08Okay, um, yeah. What did you say?
SPEAKER_11Oh yeah, that definitely hits good roll damage for me. So this is the short sword damage. Uh four or five. Seven points of piercing damage.
SPEAKER_08Alright, seven points of piercing.
SPEAKER_11And then I come around. So I slash with the with the short sword and I come up with a dagger right under like the rib area and try and get this poison dagger into their sternum. Really deliver it. So this is an advantage. Oh yeah, because you're gonna be able to get it. So that is a 18. 18 hits. Right. Dagger comes up. Oh, it does some stuff. Okay, so it does this plus this.
SPEAKER_08You feel the dagger sink into the sternum as the little insect claws. Yes.
SPEAKER_11Yeah.
SPEAKER_08The insect claws, like the the little arms like try to like grab your hand as it like and it tries to almost pull you in closer to it. But go ahead and roll damage for me.
SPEAKER_11Okay, this is the dagger. That is max. So that's seven. And then sneak attack is not the greatest. This threat doesn't really roll. Um, so that was four, seven, ten, eleven points of damage altogether. Okay. Um, and then it also I put the I put the dizzy poison on it. Oh. So I think it just happens as I hit. Yes. Okay. So now this thing has a disadvantage. Hold on, I'll read it to you. On all D20 tests. Yeah, it saves at the end of its turn. Uh till the end of it, sorry, I think it's it has to make a save, right? Is that what you said?
SPEAKER_08Yes. Oh, sorry, yeah. I uh I realized that in your poison craft dock, you the every time you apply a poison, it does require a save. So what is your DC? Because I just misread it. It's like at the top of the dock, not in the description of the poison.
SPEAKER_11But go ahead and uh the regular poison doesn't though, right? Like the It just does damage.
SPEAKER_08Regular basic, it just does damage because there's no condition. With the ones that have conditions, they get an opportunity to make a save.
SPEAKER_11So it um I think what doesn't matter, natural one.
SPEAKER_03Love that person, I don't know pronouns.
SPEAKER_12I'm gonna kill you, but I want to do it respectfully.
SPEAKER_08Anytime it rolls an asshole. Yeah, and it does get an opportunity still to save buddy at the end of its term. Yeah. So for the end of its turn.
SPEAKER_11Uh minute, uh, whenever it rolls any d20, it's a good disadvantage. It's a disadvantage.
SPEAKER_05Yes, yes, and it's got so many arms.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_08That's a good call. Good call. Um, I'll mark it with a blue thing so that we remember it's you.
SPEAKER_11My bonus and my action, I'm gonna stay. I'm gonna kind of slide next to um I'm gonna move one over to step next to Vale. Like shoulder to shoulder. Okay, cool, cool. Vale, put the fucking food down.
SPEAKER_07That's awesome.
SPEAKER_08That is that is going to end uh um uh Shaw's turn and brings us to Thistle. Um, hang on, just your chance to show that you're shapable. Oh, yeah next to Dale. Yes, perfect. Boom. I'm shoulder to shoulder. And then let me hang on. But um Golly.
SPEAKER_06Let's see. He's probably not as strong as Dawn. Just gonna put that out there, guys. Dom did it did not do any work the last fight we had, so don't worry. Dawn and father. Low bar. Reese. Very strong. Very strong.
SPEAKER_11All right. Actually, um her job is not fighting. Could I be on the southern side of the water? Like over here?
SPEAKER_06Exactly.
SPEAKER_11Yes, yeah, that's perfect. Yeah, that's easy. Thank you.
SPEAKER_08No problem, no problem. Um, oh wow, where did that just go? There it is. Okay, uh Thistle. This is cool. Um she is going to use a bonus action to disengage.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_08And she is going to run five, ten, fifteen feet and like kind of sit next to the thing. And you see, as she gets over there, she reaches like a hand into her dress and then like pulls out, and you see this like in this small hand crossbow unfold. Cool. Cool. As she like levels it at the creature over to her to the side, and she's gonna shoot one bolt from her hand craft. She she is something else.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Um, this something else.
SPEAKER_06Out of it out, Ramsay. An alarming creature.
SPEAKER_08Natural one. God, another one.
SPEAKER_06Yeah.
SPEAKER_08So it goes both ways. As she shoots in the boat, just like sails wide into the night.
SPEAKER_06It's these mists!
SPEAKER_11Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Getsy shit!
SPEAKER_08And uh she uh I'm just a little tipsy. She goes to, yeah. Yeah, she's had some wine. Um, Ilya, it is you on deck and then a bit of a gauntlet, and then Ramsay. So go ahead and uh Elya, it's it's your turn.
SPEAKER_05Come at me, bros. Okay, so careful.
SPEAKER_06So I think so.
SPEAKER_11Alright.
SPEAKER_06My eyes, uh, I'm gonna close them for a second, open them, and for that brief second, they flash with the mycelial lights behind my eyes like sclera before disappearing.
SPEAKER_01And break Phil and this are both I'm good, good.
SPEAKER_06I'm good. I'm good. But there's a big guy right in front of you, and and I love you.
SPEAKER_04I love you.
SPEAKER_06I love you. Um and it it seems like a big guy, so I'm gonna do, yeah, I'm gonna. Yeah, I'm gonna slap my hands together and pull them apart in the familiar, you know, light between my hands as electricity is shooting through the mycelial connections at the creature below the big guy. The one that's next to Phil. Okay, cool. The the second biggest guy.
SPEAKER_11Multi-arm thing.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, and I'm going to guest witch bolt. And it's the the same witch bolt that you know and love.
SPEAKER_01I have advantage.
SPEAKER_08Wait, hang on, sorry. I just want to make sure of something because it is a ranged attack roll and you do have an a hostile creature within five feet of you.
SPEAKER_01So Oh, is it just a straight bolt?
SPEAKER_08It might be a straight roll. However, um, you you can obviously, because of you, you can get out of there if you need to.
SPEAKER_03Oh, true.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, also attack and get out there. You can also attack the one in front of you. No, I don't want to do that.
SPEAKER_11The one in front of you is you see it kind of wavering as my dagger, like getting pulled out of it, and you see that like poisonous stuff. So it looks like it's harder to control or something.
SPEAKER_06I'm going to then go diagonal, yeah, out and towards, yeah.
SPEAKER_01Okay. But stay within, I gotta see how far away I'll be 60 feet.
SPEAKER_08Are you gonna bonus action disengage?
SPEAKER_11Yes.
SPEAKER_06Oh no, I can't, because I did the the down.
SPEAKER_11The thing has disadvantage to hit you. It does. So it's a better chance if you want to. Oh, that's true, too. Oh yeah, because if it rolls at D20. You can.
SPEAKER_13You just you're just a straight roll.
SPEAKER_01Well no, I bonus action source for it.
SPEAKER_13But you could still just leave its range. Yeah, you can choose your movement.
SPEAKER_06Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, all right.
SPEAKER_08I'm just gonna move it. I'm just gonna move it. Okay, you're gonna risk it?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'll risk it.
SPEAKER_08Alright, five ten disadvantage. Oh, yeah. It's gonna roll at disadvantage. It's fine. Uh the low is a 20 to hit.
SPEAKER_13That's okay. He's the big dog. Hit me.
SPEAKER_08Alright. Uh it is gonna hit you.
SPEAKER_01Just one hit.
SPEAKER_08You do see is it like is it gonna but one of the arms almost reflexively as you move, just like, whoosh, damn. Um, you are not my dress.
SPEAKER_06Can it go for my back? Because I'm and that way the dress because it's open.
SPEAKER_08The claw rakes down your back and then turn to walk away. You take eight points of damage, slashing damage from these heart. Oh, cool, cool, cool, cool. It's rolling really good too on its damage dice.
SPEAKER_01So scary. Yeah, yeah, it is scary. But you know what? It's cool because the dress wasn't damaged, guys. That's what's important here.
SPEAKER_13That's the important bit. You want to look good at the cost.
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I've run back, turn, kind of uh do the do the thing with my hands and um focus to the creature. And I'll make that face. Now I can roll at advantage, technically, because I am out. Okay.
SPEAKER_11Yeah, you can roll with advantage.
SPEAKER_06Same fucking number.
SPEAKER_11Did roll at advance. Oh yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06Yeah. Um 18. Well, that's a good number.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, that'll hit. No, I'm gonna. There we go.
SPEAKER_06Alright. And so now I get with that 2D12.
SPEAKER_13So with that 2d12.
SPEAKER_06Get toes on both ones again. This is a 12.
SPEAKER_13Yeah, looks like it is a 12. Eight. Noise. Tang! We love it! Banger banger. 18. Banger hit. 18 to hit? Yeah.
SPEAKER_08Okay, sorry. I haven't made an adjustment. I know.
SPEAKER_03We'll caught up with ourselves.
SPEAKER_05Well what happened? What happened?
SPEAKER_08I just I forgot about a feature that some of these things have.
SPEAKER_11So I gotta be forgetting about it.
SPEAKER_08And I gotta I'm I'm gonna say because I forgot, it won't affect you this turn. Great. Uh as you move away from the larger creature, you feel the the claws rake across your back. But as you approach and you get closer to thistle and you get like you approach this smaller kind of creature with this like rictus grin, you see as it looks at it, he's like and this like sound, like it you hear it come from it, and then it kind of like transcends its vocals, and it begins to almost like confound your brain. No, it's a very good thing. As you enter, you do enter into an aura that it has. Um you feel this like strange, like almost like a fear grip you. As but also it's the sounds themselves almost like you begin to feel disoriented a little bit. Um like a a faint vertigo almost. Is it is it uh again, it doesn't it doesn't affect you this turn because that's my fault. Um but okay. Go ahead and roll, what was your damage?
SPEAKER_01Uh eight plus ten.
SPEAKER_08Eight plus ten. Eighteen points, and that's on the big one?
SPEAKER_06Uh the one next to Phil.
SPEAKER_08Oh, okay, cool. 18 points of damage?
SPEAKER_06Yes. Freaking hell.
SPEAKER_08Okay, as the lightning lances across the open sort of field here, um Phil, you see, is it slams into the back of this creature and it like like sizzles and begins like smoke begins to roil off its back. Um, that's a hell of a hit. Okay, um, anything else with your turn, Elia?
SPEAKER_06Yeah, I'm I'm just gonna scream out I hate this place. I hate this place.
SPEAKER_07Thistle, yeah. As you as you as you say that out loud, thistle says, oh, really?
SPEAKER_08Okay, now you see if she she's trying to like unjam her crossbow as it she did not have a good shot. Um that is going to end her uh your turn, excuse me. Yeah. And brings us to the groove. Oh boy. Alright, so first up.
SPEAKER_01Dang, there's a lot of them. Okay.
SPEAKER_08First up, this one is gonna close the distance on you, Phil. And it's gonna move over to there. Oh. Um, as as this creature gets close to you, you hear that same like and these sort of like strange noises begin to uh emanate from it as you enter it. It it brings your aura of shrieks. Uh it's aura of shrieks into you, and then it's gonna attempt to bite you with its giant toothy, smiling face. Um that is gonna be a nine to hit. Yes. Alright, it snaps at your leg and you move out of the way. That is gonna end its turn.
SPEAKER_05What happens when I'm in the aura?
SPEAKER_08So Is that at the start of our aura in like comes over you? Thank you for that reminder. Um, as the aura comes over you, you that disorientation sets in. Um you have disadvantage on saving throws and attack rolls against creatures other than this one.
SPEAKER_05Oh what?
SPEAKER_08Yeah, what was that last bit? Like almost.
SPEAKER_05I have disadvantage on any attacking any creature other than that one.
SPEAKER_08Yeah. Or well, it's like other than other than any uh anything like this. I mean these creatures.
SPEAKER_05Oh, okay.
SPEAKER_08So it's not that one, but it is anything other than this type of creature. And you can almost like there's this uh as the aura emanates, like your vision almost like everything blurs except for these things. They like stand out even almost more as it almost draws your attention towards it. Um that is gonna end its turn. The one up top is going to close the distance to Ramsey. Yes. And it same thing, the aura washes over you, you have disadvantage on saving throws, and against attacks against anything other than a gru. Um, it is going to attempt to bite you with its 19 to hit. Ah, that hits. Alright, really good roll. Okay, so it bites down onto you, Ramsey, like your leg, like and it sort of clamps onto you. Uh, you take seven points of um damage. Um it rolls. Wait, I can't. Oh, yeah. Again, almost close to max damage. Um I need you to make a wisdom of saving throwing. At disadvantage. At disadvantage.
SPEAKER_05Okay, okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_08Wisdom? Uh it's uh 16. 16. You do not uh you do not feel anything. Um the that same sort of vertigo almost begins to uh take over. Um you feel it kind of worsened momentarily as you snap out of it. Um that is going to end that creature's turn. That brings us to the one up here. It is going to five.
SPEAKER_09Or wait, five.
SPEAKER_08It is going to dash. Because it can't get to Phil without dashing. And it goes to here. Because you are the closest creature to it. Oh, Phil.
SPEAKER_05I love it. I loved it. I love it. Bring him over.
SPEAKER_08Okay. Oh. But you gotta survive.
SPEAKER_05I know.
SPEAKER_08Oh, you gotta survive. Alright, that is gonna end up. That is gonna go to try and bite.
SPEAKER_05Oh, it can't, because it had to die.
SPEAKER_08It had to die. So now when you hit school turn.
SPEAKER_05Look at that. I mean, it's not gonna be fun when I try and get away from all of them, but no, it isn't.
SPEAKER_08Odds are evens, Ilya.
SPEAKER_06Uh, evens.
SPEAKER_08It's coming for you.
SPEAKER_06Well, I'd rather it come for me. Yeah.
SPEAKER_08It's same thing. And it tries to bite your leg. Uh, seven to hit. Yes. Alright.
SPEAKER_06Oh my god, that is gonna be away. I'm like, that's a dress!
SPEAKER_08That is gonna end uh that creature's turn brings it to Ramsey, followed by Vale, and then Philip, uh, you are uh you're on deck. So Ramsey, your turn, pal. You got one of these things in front of you. As I pull my dad.
SPEAKER_13Uh just like torture my nice boot. Uh not exactly what I had in mind for the crowd going wild. I will sling my uh I'll sling Luther down to the ground and I'll pull from my belt a little harmonica. No, he's got a harmonica. And I will throw, like, I will uh as I do that, you know, uh, this like uh these uh reverberations of little like glips of magical energy, just like little yellow sort of clouds, uh little flevescent uh furrows that just like trace along the edges of it, and I just uh sling it down toward my feet, uh, and those ripples enlarge and throw and smash into the ground below me as I somersault into the air uh and come down on top of this creature's head with my with my heel. Uh and I'll cast uh cat's spring. What the hell is this? Uh I jump up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space, I can see and deliver a spectral claw attack, which is just gonna be my fucking heel. I'll deal with the white one.
SPEAKER_06Oh yeah, let's do that.
SPEAKER_13Let's do slashing damage because it's the heel. I got the choose. Uh and uh I'm gonna make a melee spell attack against the target.
SPEAKER_04Okay. Got this.
SPEAKER_13Uh and on a hit, it takes 1d8 spirit damage. Oh, I missed. So I just it collides, but it doesn't quite uh like uh break through this game, I suppose. What did you what did you? I rolled a two, which I get uh I'm not sure what my spell attack bonus is. It would probably plus your charisma mod. Oh no, it's six, it's plus six. So I rolled an eight.
SPEAKER_08An eight, unfortunately, yeah. Even for this creature, it manages to dodge out of the way.
SPEAKER_05But as a way to get advantageous or adds you don't have any bardic inspiration or any inspiration from inspire myself. I know, but don't you have inspiration from before? Like when you played in. Yeah.
SPEAKER_11What does that inspiration do? Give you a I can do a reroll, I guess.
SPEAKER_03You have it!
SPEAKER_11I don't like to abuse it.
SPEAKER_03It's just you haven't used it yet, I don't think.
SPEAKER_08Yeah, you got it in front from the first song you played. Rule Holly. Okay, that's a lot more. And they carry it between sessions.
SPEAKER_03Okay, slide.
SPEAKER_07Oh, that's amazing. Um that's uh 19 to 10.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.
SPEAKER_13Okay, okay. Uh and uh uh yeah, I'll come down to this D8 slashing, and it also gives me advantage on my next attack. Yes!
SPEAKER_03You would not do that?
SPEAKER_13I would still get the advantage, which is not as five. Excellent. So that's gonna be four points of slashing damage. Okay. And as I land, oh, how do I want to do this?
SPEAKER_08Yeah, uh, how big is this creature? It's pretty small. Like, I mean, maybe like three and a half, four feet tall at most. It's very it's pretty like and it's like gangly. Yeah. Um, yeah. It it's it's got like spinly legs and a big distended stomach, and then like a tiny little neck and arms and a huge head. It's really good. I don't care.
SPEAKER_13So as like my heel collides, it brings its head down. I land, and then I'm gonna bring that same uh like that knee up of that foot to like hit it in the chin. Heck yeah. I'm gonna use a focus point to do flurry blows to bring my other leg across. Advantage, advantage. Yeah, I get advantage on the first one. Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_06Fluoria paws.
SPEAKER_13Hell yeah, needed that. Uh yeah, that's a 19 plus. Okay, that'll hit. Uh and then for the second hit, I will just roll that. Uh that is um 15? 15?
SPEAKER_08Hits. Yeah! Alright, go ahead and roll damage on the first one. Okay.
SPEAKER_00Kill it.
SPEAKER_13Uh that is a that is six. Sorry. Yes, six points of uh force damage on the first attack. Nice, nice, nice. And then uh nine points of damage on the second one. Nine points of damage on the second one.
SPEAKER_07As that fat baby, weird-looking head just rolls away into the good boot! And I kind of like to kill that creature.
SPEAKER_08Um, you literally kick its head off. Amazing. Uh, that is gonna end Ramsey's turn. Do you want to move?
SPEAKER_13You got full move. Let's go. Ooh. I will I'm gonna run over uh to get in front of Thistle.
SPEAKER_08Um turn by 30. Uh, do you do you want to go any you wanna get there or do you want to go here? Uh can I go?
SPEAKER_13Yeah, right there. Yeah, just between between her and uh Ilya. Okay. As a matter of fact, just to her. That's just a fact. That's not for any reason.
SPEAKER_06I'm not even paying attention. I'm not spelled or physical.
SPEAKER_13I'll turn to this little Steven.
SPEAKER_07And she's she she yeah, as you say staban, she goes, you're sweet. She like puts her hand up and goes to like she. I'll give a little like knowing wiggle.
SPEAKER_05The idea of it being a shield, like using a body shield, yeah, and like putting it on top of your shoulder.
SPEAKER_08And that's my go. Alright, beautiful. Ramsey, that ends your turn, brings us to Vale.
SPEAKER_05Nicely done.
SPEAKER_08Nice turn. Everybody's having good turns. Yeah, everybody's having a great job. You're about to jump down. Don't worry, you're gonna be great. Vale. Oh man. Yeah, where's Vail at right now? Yeah. In a place you see. Oh no, yeah.
SPEAKER_13I don't get advantage if I don't hit.
SPEAKER_02So such such a clutch move. You yell, drop the food. So as I go up to throw my shield, you just hear a clatter of the the dish and the glasses and everything just hit. And fury. And um not I don't not even thinking. I just guiding bolt. I like yeah, I don't even care that I'm this close. Fuck him up. Okay. Ah shit, bruh.
SPEAKER_08Fuck him up. Okay. So you'd use as yeah, the the lights along your arm a light, and you send your Guiding bolt, you will be at disadvantage because you're within five feet of a hostile creature and you're making a ranged attack. I believe it's a ranged. It is ranged. It's any ranged, right? It's not just ranged melee. It's any range. It is any range. That's what I thought. That's what I thought. Yeah. Okay. Makes sense. Big time.
SPEAKER_13That again.
SPEAKER_02Critty critty.
SPEAKER_06It's that range.
SPEAKER_02As I I'm sitting there in front of it, and um I just point one arm at it, and uh a star uh pops up. And as I throw it, uh zip. And it will do so that the it was 19 on the dice. Yep, that'll hit.
SPEAKER_08And then I'm gonna roll four DC or guiding bolt is so funny. Early on, it's just like it cooks, yeah. It's good forever, too, but especially.
SPEAKER_02Okay, so that's nine points of damage.
SPEAKER_08Nine points of damage. Yeah, for radiant.
SPEAKER_02It doesn't like radiant, right?
SPEAKER_08Hopefully. As the yeah, as the damage washes over it, the guiding bolt slams into its body, you see it it is fully affected by the radiant damage.
SPEAKER_02And the next attack roll will have advantage on it. And then um then I'll uh uh I'll raise my other hand up and uh with my bonus uh my luminous arrow form will uh just project from me and just the the large uh uh female warrior form of the Gith gear with the huge war bow uh will alight and and uh Ramsey This is them.
SPEAKER_01Who? What? Oh! We all hear this, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no, every yeah everybody hears it.
SPEAKER_07Them yes, right, fucking. Yeah, everybody hears this exchange.
SPEAKER_08The screams rise into the night. Um and veil that ends your turn. Yeah, all right.
SPEAKER_02We're not going anywhere.
SPEAKER_08That brings us back to top of initiative, and we are gonna have to be a big and we are at time, and and we're way over. So back top of initiative is nice, it's gonna die. I'm gonna be okay.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna be fine. You're like that way.
unknownI'm gonna be fine.
SPEAKER_05I'm very sorry.
SPEAKER_07I won't. I actually want it anyway. Um uh I swear to god, I don't always plan for cliffhangers. It just kind of works out that way sometimes.
SPEAKER_08I want more. So, uh, next time we will find out uh what Phil is gonna do. Um yes, they will feast on the blood of their enemies. Uh, thank you guys so much for watching. Uh, hope you enjoyed watching as much as we did playing. We'll see you next time. Goodbye, Naruto.
SPEAKER_13Hey folks, it's your friendly neighborhood editor, Shane, checking in. Thanks so much for being here for this episode. I know it was a little shorter one. I know uh some folks have expressed that they would rather we go longer than go shorter, but the fact of the matter is uh we put out an episode every week. And so just think of it as as when the episodes are a little shorter. It means I get to sleep more. Just think about it that way. And then and then maybe that'll console you. And I don't mean that we get more episodes because I will die later in theory. Because sleep extends your life. That's right, right? That's science. Anyways, if you haven't already, please do hit like on that video. Please do subscribe to our channel. Uh, if you have the means, you can support us on Patreon, YouTube memberships, Twitch Prime, etc. Give us a five-star review. All those things help the show go and grow. And we'll see you all at Comic Con and whoever can make it. And we'll see you next week as well. Take care, ladies.
